Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, July 18, reveals that EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) blackmailed Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) to get their DiMera shares. Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) also rushed Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) to the altar, so here’s how all the Days action played out.
First on Monday’s DOOL episode, Will Horton (Chandler Massey) and Sonny Kiriakis (Zach Tinker) debated whether Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) could’ve actually killed Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) before Sonny handed over breakfast from Sweet Bits.
After things took a passionate turn in bed, Will got a message about one of his Hollywood pitches working out.
Although Will thought he should turn it down since it’d mean living in Los Angeles for a while, Sonny convinced him not to pass up this opportunity.
In Xander’s hotel suite, he got frisky with Sarah before they talked about her new prescription dosage.
Sarah was relieved over not hurting anyone during her hallucinations and eventually sent Xander to comfort Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) over his loss.
At the Salem PD, JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss) threatened to beat the truth out of Lucas, who couldn’t remember if he had killed Abigail due to his drunkenness.
Jennifer Deveraux (Cady McClain) arrived in time to stop JJ’s attack and assured Lucas that he couldn’t have killed his own beloved niece.
At Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) townhouse, she slammed Kate for keeping quiet about Lucas kidnapping Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney).
Kate understood why Marlena wouldn’t want to help Lucas by hypnotizing him to remember that night, but she pushed her to get justice for Abigail.
Marlena decided she would and ended up in the interrogation room, where she insisted Abigail was her reason for doing this.
While Lucas prepared for hypnosis, Chad found EJ at the DiMera mansion on Monday’s Days episode.
After Chad apologized for lashing out over EJ’s Clyde Weston (James Read) confession, EJ assured his brother that he’d help him on his mission for justice.
Talk turned to Kate’s betrayal, so Chad admitted he was guilty as well and explained all the details of his alliance with Lucas.
Although Chad wanted to confess during EJ’s trial, the devil’s illusion made a mess of things.
Chad changed his mind after he saw what he thought was EJ forcing a kiss on Abigail.
Once Chad said he hoped EJ could find a way to forgive him, EJ said he’d take it under consideration.
Kate eventually met up with Chad, so they were in the living room together when EJ reappeared.
As a way to make up for their transgressions, EJ insisted Chad and Kate should sign over all their DiMera shares to him – that is if they wanted to remain free!
Back with Sarah, she ran into JJ in the town square and faced questions about how she was doing following her drug ordeal.
Sarah acknowledged that she was doing better, but she also talked about how she wanted to kill Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) during those horrible visions of her.
Since Marlena urged Sarah to talk to Abigail about her own drug experience, Sarah wished she could’ve been there and stopped the killer.
JJ pointed out that Sarah might’ve been killed as well and remained determined to take down Abigail’s true murderer.
After checking on Jack, Xander returned to Sarah and wanted to make the most of their time together since they had a second chance.
When Sarah asked about Xander’s plans for the day, he suggested they should get married.
Sarah’s shocked expression quickly became a smile, so she seemed on board with Xander’s spur-of-the-moment idea.
