Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) may land in prison with EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel). Will EJ and Rafe become new cellmates after Clyde Weston’s (James Read) parole? Let’s consider some DOOL clues that could point to these enemies ending up in close quarters.
For starters, Rafe’s case is in the hands of the jury now.
Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) doesn’t currently have any way to prove Rafe’s innocence – and Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) has escaped from police custody.
Where would the drama be if Rafe walked free? What would be the point of all this?
It makes sense to lock Rafe away, especially since Clyde mentioned that he’d be up for parole soon.
Days spoilers say Clyde is back for a lengthy stint and will be involved in Ben Weston’s (Robert Scott Wilson) baby storyline.
That suggests Clyde will indeed score his freedom, so what happens once EJ loses his roomie?
Statesville will inevitably give EJ someone else to room with, so that’s where Rafe might come in.
EJ himself predicted this with a joke when he first showed up to start his sentence.
When EJ said having Rafe for a cellmate would be his worst nightmare, Days writers might’ve been dropping a hint about the future.
Once Clyde is a free man, EJ may fume over being forced to bunk with Rafe next.
That could bring plenty of fierce faceoffs since Rafe and EJ hate each other’s guts, but they could also help each other out in the end.
EJ knows Ava got roped into pitching in on Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) escape.
EJ could reveal that to Rafe and perhaps offer insight into where Ava might be hiding, especially if Ava heads to some new hideout with Kristen.
Rafe might also help EJ jog his memory of Clyde’s role in his shooting.
Maybe Rafe and his knowledge of the case will help EJ remember that Clyde ordered his death.
There’d be a lot of dramatic potential in making Rafe a new cellmate for EJ, especially since these foes could become friends or at least allies.
