Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) may be in love with Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder), not Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer). Drugging side effects could bring a love story twist, so let’s talk about the tricky road ahead.
DOOL fans know Sarah was exhibiting some strange behavior in the January 31 episode.
Sarah seemed mostly OK in some moments and almost childlike in others – like when Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) was able to distract her with peach pie or when Sarah danced around her bedroom.
Of course, Sarah’s relationship with Kristen is another huge tipoff that something’s wrong.
Sarah should hate Kristen’s guts for locking her up all this time. Instead, Sarah is treating Kristen like they’re BFFs.
Although Sarah feels she’s a grown woman who can protect herself, she believes Kristen’s motives are pure when it comes to putting her safety first.
Sarah doesn’t believe Kristen has any malicious intent here, so that’s important to keep in mind.
Another interesting clue came in Sarah’s dialogue – more specifically, what wasn’t contained in that dialogue.
Sarah brought up the man she loved and talked about coming home to him, but she never called that man by name.
Compare that to Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller), who mentioned Xander during her own conversation with Kristen.
There’s just no reason for Sarah to not say “Xander” unless the show’s preserving a surprise. Sarah may not be trying to get home to Xander at all!
Days spoilers for February sweeps confirm a twist is coming with Sarah’s return.
Perhaps due to the drug Sarah was injected with – the same one that led to Abigail hallucinating and landing at a psychiatric facility – something’s gone amiss in Sarah’s brain.
Kristen might even be slipping more drugs in Sarah’s peach pie and other treats for all anyone knows!
There’s also the potential for brainwashing when DiMeras are involved, so that’s something else to remember.
Regardless, Sarah may actually be trying to get back to Rex.
That would explain why Days writers went out of their way to avoid saying Xander was the man Sarah loved.
It would also set up yet another obstacle for Xander and Sarah once she’s rescued.
If Sarah thinks Xander is the one she needs protecting from, that could bring an additional hurdle.
Whatever the case, Kristen has made a mess that’s sure to affect Sarah and Xander’s upcoming reunion. We’ll bring you updates as other Days news rolls in.
