Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that an unusually large number of Salem citizens actually live at either the Salem Inn or belong to wealthy families where most family members live in the family mansion.
It’s a very rare occurrence for a newcomer to have their own apartment. This is because there likely has been a major decrease in the show’s budget.
Also there likely isn’t enough storage space to keep a unique set for all the people who really should have their own place.
So even though it isn’t realistic, viewers have gotten used to it when Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) or Xander Cook (Paul Tefler) permanently reside at the Salem Inn.

That why many viewers were shocked this week when Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) showed up at his latest sexual hook-up’s place.
When Sloan Peterson (Jessica Serfaty) answered the door, she wasn’t at the Salem Inn. Somehow this very new, slightly villainous legal eagle scored her own apartment.
Meanwhile, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) is living in Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) penthouse.
And instead of buying his family a house of their own, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and his two children are living at the Horton house. And given the number of people who are living there, it should be quite crowded.
DOOL Spoilers – Is Sloan Peterson set to become a major character?
If there was any indication that Sloan is getting a big storyline that requires she be on screen more, it would make sense for Sloane to be rewarded with the fancy apartment she was assigned.
Of course it is possible that the whole reason Sloan has given her own set was to draw attention to the fact she handcuffed Alex to her bed while she left for a business meeting.
At the same time, the stakes were definitely higher for Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) as she broke into Sloan’s apartment. If Sloan was just at the Salem Inn.

Given the amount of story that Stephanie carries, it would seemingly make more sense if she had her own apartment.
As it stands right now, Sloan has significantly less story at the moment.
Now it’s possible that will change in the coming weeks but Sloane doesn’t really appear to be the type of person to lay down roots anywhere.
It will be worth noting just how often Sloan’s new set is used or it will never be seen again after Sloan takes the handcuffs off Alex!
