Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Thursday, April 14 Recap – Gabi Scores Secret Recording of Ava – Hutchins Reveals Insurance Policy

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, April 14, teases that Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) scored a secret recording of guilty Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) after Hutchins (Joe Basile) revealed his insurance policy. Here’s how Thursday’s DOOL action played out.

Outside the pub, Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) expressed concern to Gabi over the phone.

Although Gabi had a plan and had tracked down one of the perps who accused Rafe, he didn’t like the idea of her going to the guy’s apartment alone.

After Gabi assured Rafe that she would be fine, he warned her that Ava could pop up anywhere.

Ava then popped up behind Rafe, so he made threats about her crimes catching up with her and knew Ava lived with Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash).

However, Ava wasn’t concerned about a criminal takedown.

Ava also implied that she’d be heating things up with Jake soon and tried her best to get under Rafe’s skin.

At the bistro on Thursday’s Days episode, Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) cornered Jake and warned him to watch his back when it came to Ava.

Jake thought he was a big boy who could take care of himself.

Jake also raised the possibility that Ava might be innocent of the setup – unlike Rafe and Nicole, who were guilty of cheating.

Once Jake came home and found Ava eating Chinese takeout, he mentioned his Nicole run-in. Ava and Jake did some flirting as they continued to bond.

Back with Gabi, she knocked on Mr. Hutchins’ door and claimed she was the assistant district attorney.

Gabi insisted DA Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) was after a much bigger fish and pushed for help strengthening the case ahead of Ava’s arrest.

Since Hutchins seemed nervous about retaliation, Gabi acted like they could provide protection.

Gabi tried to sell Hutchins on the idea of testifying that Ava put him up to accusing Rafe.

In exchange, Gabi argued that the DA’s office could drop all the charges against Hutchins.

Hutchins was tempted on Thursday’s Days episode, but he couldn’t take that testimony step.

Instead, Hutchins handed over what he called an insurance policy and sent Gabi on her way.

That insurance policy was a recording of Ava arranging for Hutchins to falsely accuse Rafe of planting evidence.

Ava could be heard talking about the other perps she’d roped into her scheme, too.

At the pub, Nancy Wesley (Patrika Darbo) agreed to have one last drink with Craig Wesley (Kevin Spirtas) for old times’ sake.

Craig got Nancy smiling over good memories, which she wished could’ve lasted forever.

After Craig assured Nancy that the life they built together and with their family was real, Nancy admitted she was trying to be happy for Craig and Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart).

Craig caught Nancy off guard by asking her to attend the wedding, but she at least agreed to think about it.

Once Craig was gone, Nancy had tears in her eyes as she removed her ring.

In his hotel room, Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) called Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) and pointed out that the wedding was moving forward.

Xander wanted to make sure Jack was still on to be his best man.

Jack got updates on Sarah Horton’s (Linsey Godfrey) tragic mental decline and how Xander had promised to let her go if the antidote didn’t work.

That left Jack worried about Xander marrying Gwen for the wrong reasons.

Xander assured Jack that Gwen wasn’t some consolation prize.

Xander wasn’t just marrying Gwen out of obligation and genuinely wanted to make her happy, so Jack was on board with his best man duties.

In the town square, Gwen insisted she hadn’t seen “Matty Cooper” since they were in “Philly.”

After he explained that he went by Leo Stark now, Gwen assumed they had a lot to catch up on.

After Leo and Gwen talked about how they used to go wild dancing in bars, they reflected on more recent developments.

Leo played up his engagement to a wealthy doctor and learned Gwen’s boyfriend had proposed, too.

Since Gwen alluded to things being complicated, Leo worried Gwen might be pregnant.

Gwen assured Leo that she wasn’t – though she did admit to being pregnant by the wrong guy before and it not working out.

Leo understood what Gwen meant and was so sorry. He was glad to know Gwen was moving forward with the right guy now.

Gwen knew the marriage itself was the most important thing, but she still wished she could have a grand wedding celebration.

Leo ultimately got a big idea – and later, he pitched a double wedding plan to Craig.

After Leo explained how it would help out his dear friend, Craig admitted to loving how generous Leo was.

Back with Gwen, she returned to the hotel room and pitched the same combined wedding plan.

Xander tried to pump the brakes a bit since Gwen hadn’t even revealed who her friend was.

Gwen referred to him as “Matty,” so Xander didn’t realize the infamous Leo Stark was involved.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say Xander’s going to have a huge reaction once he learns the truth, so stick with DOOL.
