Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Thursday, April 14, teases that Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) will face a damaging betrayal while Craig Wesley’s (Kevin Spirtas) invite stuns Nancy Wesley (Patrika Darbo). Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) and Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) will also discuss a big idea, so there’ll be some highs and lows happening across Salem.
DOOL fans know Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) is riled up and ready to sink Ava.
That’s why Gabi will seek out Hutchins (Joe Basile), one of the perpetrators who pointed the finger at Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering).
Although Rafe was acquitted, Gabi has no intention of letting Ava get away with setting him up.
Of course, this is more about Gabi’s desire for revenge than getting justice for Rafe.
Gabi also wants Ava as far away from Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) as possible, so she’s got some good reasons to work hard on this takedown effort.
Days spoilers say Gabi will end up going undercover, so she’ll apparently come up with some ruse to trick Hutchins into ratting Ava out.
Whether Hutchins means to or not, it looks like he’ll indeed betray Ava somehow.
Ava’s not going to be happy about that, so Hutchins could be in danger – especially since mob connections are how this arrangement came about in the first place. The mob doesn’t mess around when it comes to betrayals!
Regardless, Gabi will ultimately score evidence that Ava framed Rafe. That’ll leave Gabi anxious to track Rafe down and push hard for Ava’s immediate arrest.
Over with Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker), she’ll speak from experience when she offers Jake some words of wisdom.
Nicole won’t think it’s wise to get sucked into Ava’s world, so she’ll warn Jake to head in the opposite direction. In Nicole’s opinion, nothing good can come from getting too close to Ava.
While Jake mulls over that warning, Leo will catch up with a familiar face.
Leo just bumped into Gwen in the town square, so Days is about to reveal how this friendship came about.
Gwen knows Leo’s real name since she called him “Matty,” which is obviously short for Matthew Cooper.
That means Gwen has been Leo’s pal for quite some time, but it doesn’t sound like they’ve seen each other in many years.
When Emily O’Brien played Jana Hawkes on The Young and the Restless with Greg Rikaart’s Kevin Fisher, their characters were romantically involved.
As a nod to Genoa City and Y&R history, Days might allude to the time Leo and Gwen spent in Wisconsin.
However, Kevin and Jana had adventures elsewhere during their relationship.
DOOL could claim Gwen and Leo crossed paths at a Malibu ashram, which is where Jana and Kevin got married.
Even if Leo just knew Gwen in London, there’ll be some fun way to connect the two of them.
Gwen and Leo will no doubt laugh as they reminisce about their younger years.
Once Gwen shows off her engagement ring, Leo will gush over the bride-to-be.
Leo will reveal that he’s getting married as well and may be the one to suggest making this a double wedding.
Gwen will get on board, so she’ll have to convince Xander it’s the right call – and Leo can do the same with Craig later.
Until then, Craig will be busy reflecting on his past with Nancy. Their marriage is ending, but they still shared something special during all those years together.
Craig will try to patch things up with Nancy – at least as best as he can under the circumstances.
Craig will also invite Nancy to attend his nuptials, though she may feel he’s pressing his luck!
Nancy won’t be sure she wants to watch Craig marry someone else – particularly someone with a reputation like Leo’s.
Nevertheless, Nancy will indeed make an appearance at the upcoming wedding.
There’ll be something that eventually convinces Nancy to come down the road.
