Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, August 11, reveals that Ava DiMera (Tamara Braun) came up with a fake secret for EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) while Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) attacked Clyde Weston (James Read) and ran to avoid the cops. Here’s how all the DOOL drama played out.
At the Horton house, Thomas DiMera (Cary Christopher) dashed out of the living room after Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) arrived, so Chad assumed his son was still upset over his recent outburst.
Jennifer Deveraux (Cady McClain) admitted the real problem was that Chad didn’t come home last night, so Thomas feared his daddy wouldn’t come back like his mommy.
Chad sat Thomas down and apologized as they realized they needed to lean on each other right now. Jennifer suggested a boys’ night out, so Chad took Thomas to the town square for some frozen yogurt.
At the DiMera mansion, EJ interrupted Ava and Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) after his workout. Once EJ convinced Gwen to stay for dinner, he suggested he’d shower and join them – then they could see about getting to the bottom of that secret they were discussing.
Ava realized they needed to come up with a fake secret to throw EJ off the trail. Once EJ returned, he assumed the secret might have something to do with Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller).
Ava claimed it was simply about Gwen wanting Xander back. Gwen agreed and suggested she had a chance based on Lucas Horton’s (Bryan Dattilo) hypnosis memories of Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey).
However, EJ informed Gwen that Sarah had an alibi, so someone else must’ve killed Abigail. In another moment alone, Gwen wondered if it was really a good idea for Ava to be living with someone who was out to get her. Ava was quite confident that she could handle EJ.
Meanwhile, Clyde was grateful to Nancy Miller (James Read) for giving him a place to live and for not turning her back on him when he was accused of murder. Nancy hoped Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) could accept her relationship and headed off to convince her daughter to join them for dinner.
At Basic Black, Leo pitched himself for the brand specialist position and got shot down. Chloe wondered if they should call security, but Brady insisted he could throw Leo out himself.
Once Leo was gone, Chloe looked through his book of photo samples and admitted some of his work was good. After Nancy arrived and realized Leo had been there for a job, she flew into a rage.
Nancy also convinced Chloe and Brady to join her for dinner with Clyde, so they all headed to the bistro. That’s where Clyde found Leo and recognized him as the guy who sold him the stolen jewelry, which was evidence in Abigail’s murder case.
Leo eventually threw a drink in Clyde’s face and ran away to avoid the police. That left Clyde to wipe his eyes and explain what just happened as Nancy, Chloe and Brady arrived.
In the town square on Thursday’s Days episode, Thomas sat at a table with Chad and lost a tooth while eating his frozen yogurt. Chad took it for safekeeping and referred to the tooth fairy as a “she,” but Thomas insisted it was a “he.”
Thomas added that he saw the tooth fairy in the tunnels and told Abigail afterward. Once Thomas spotted Leo nearby, he pointed the tooth fairy out – leaving Chad to glare in Leo’s direction.
In their hotel suite on Thursday’s Days episode, Sarah and Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) realized they needed to make Ava cough up information to sink Gwen. Although their mission was important, Xander and Sarah ultimately decided to take a little break for lovemaking.
