Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Thursday, August 18, teases that Gwen Rizczech’s (Emily O’Brien) worst nightmare will kick off while Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) gets some shocking news. Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) will also remain drawn to Ava DiMera (Tamara Braun), so there’ll be some big things happening in Salem.
At the Salem PD, Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) will sing like a canary now that his back is against the wall.
There’s no way Leo’s going down for Abigail DiMera’s (Marci Miller) murder, so he’ll apparently point the finger at Gwen instead.
Of course, Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) may suspect Leo is just trying to save himself and will spar with Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) as she tries to defend her client.
Sloan will fight hard to get Leo off the hook, but he’ll still be in a bind for a while.
At the DiMera mansion, Gwen will freak over the possibility of landing back behind bars.
As Gwen once again confers with Ava about her brief Statesville getaway, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) will get another opportunity to eavesdrop.
Days spoilers say EJ will ultimately try to blackmail Ava into surrendering Jake DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) shares.
That could mean EJ will learn the escape secret or pretend he knows more than he actually does.
Meanwhile, Johnny will struggle to get Ava off his mind. It looks like Johnny is becoming smitten with Ava, who’ll get swept up in some close moments with him before the week’s over.
Other Days spoilers say Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) will offer medical attention for Chad’s injured hand and some free advice.
Chad needs to find a way to manage his anger issues and be the supportive father his kids need right now – especially since that’s what Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) would want.
At home on Thursday’s DOOL episode, Steve will greet Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) now that he’s freaked her out with his weapon.
Once Steve puts his gun away, he’ll get some stunning updates on what brought Stephanie back to Salem.
Although Steve will be glad to see Stephanie, he’ll also be terrified about the threat Orpheus (George DelHoyo) poses.
The longer Stephanie sticks around, the more tension there’ll be due to Steve’s growing fear.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Stephanie will definitely hang around Salem for a while – and that could make her a major target.
