Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, August 25, reveals that Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) lied that Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) confessed murder after Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) struck a dishonest deal. Here’s how all the Days action played out.
First on Thursday’s DOOL episode, Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) dreamed he was making love to Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) before waking up startled.
Nicole had a steamy Eric dream of her own before awakening in bed alone.
After Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) returned to offer breakfast and dote on his wife, Nicole seemed tempted to confess.
However, Nicole ultimately showered Rafe with praise for being a great husband and got passionate with him.
Once Rafe left, Nicole couldn’t get Eric off her mind, so she called Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) to confess her scandalous dream.
Chloe thought maybe this happened because Nicole assumed Eric had jumped into bed with Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu).
Nicole figured she should just admit the dream to Eric and get everything out in the open, but Chloe warned that was a terrible idea.
Back with Eric, he answered the door to find Jada and learned her air conditioning was broken.
Eric offered to fix it once he put a shirt on, but Jada convinced him that could wait and pulled him into a kiss.
Once Jada and Eric hit the sheets, things were awkward in the aftermath.
Jada admitted she usually wasn’t that forward and acknowledged it was the first time she’d slept with someone since her divorce.
Eric confessed Jada was also the first person for him since Nicole, but he liked Jada – and she liked him, too.
Once Eric suggested grabbing breakfast together downstairs, Jada wanted to take a shower first.
Eric offered his own while he checked on Jada’s air conditioning – leaving her to answer the door in a state of undress when Nicole arrived.
At the police station, Leo learned he had a visitor. Gwen was led in the interrogation room, where she ripped into Leo for selling her out.
After Gwen recapped what really happened the night of Abigail DiMera’s (Marci Miller) death, she pointed out Leo was her only friend in the world.
What really mattered to Gwen was that Leo believed in her innocence now, so he assured Gwen that he did.
Once the besties patched things up and hugged, Leo thought he could get Sloan to represent Gwen, too. Gwen and Leo decided they were in this together now.
At the Kiriakis mansion on Thursday’s Days episode, Sonny Kiriakis (Zach Tinker) found Sloan half-naked with Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) and demanded that she leave.
Since Sloan was Leo’s lawyer, Sonny didn’t want her in the house.
Alex forced Sloan to choose between representing Leo and continuing their dalliance, so she picked her career and strutted out.
Sonny once again scolded Alex for being a player, but he felt that one day someone would knock Alex off his feet and make him fall just as hard as everyone else.
After crossing paths with Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn), Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) invited him to have breakfast with her.
The pair caught up in the town square, where Chad lamented losing the love of his life when Abigail died.
Stephanie couldn’t even imagine a love like that.
Although Stephanie was engaged to Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) once upon a time, she said she was a different person then.
Stephanie admitted she dabbled in dating, but she’d mostly been focusing on her PR work.
There was one guy Stephanie thought she might have something with, but it turned out to be a summer fling.
Stephanie ignored the warning signs before the player eventually ghosted her, so she seemed to have learned her lesson.
As for Chad, Stephanie assured him that she was there in case he ever needed to talk.
Afterward, Alex literally bumped into Stephanie and fell to the ground.
Stephanie blamed Alex for not watching where he was going, but Alex looked smitten as he remembered Sonny’s earlier speech about finding love.
Back at the Salem PD, DA Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) was ready to take both Leo and Gwen down as co-conspirators in Abigail’s murder.
Sloan wanted to get Leo off the hook, so Trask suggested he needed to help her put the final nail in Gwen’s coffin.
Once Sloan joined Leo alone, she pushed her client to save himself by tightening Gwen’s noose.
Leo needed to offer something that would make the jury believe Gwen murdered Abigail.
When Leo asked if Sloan was asking him to lie, she countered that she was trying to make all this go away.
Sloan pushed Leo to be honest no matter how hard it was and said the truth would set him free.
Outside the interrogation room later, Trask revealed that Sloan struck a deal for Leo, who told Gwen that he couldn’t lie for her anymore.
Gwen was stunned as Leo said he had to reveal what she told him – that she killed Abigail.
Of course, Leo’s “truth” is actually a lie, so this is going to create quite a mess for Gwen!
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Leo’s betrayal will hit Gwen where it hurts, so stay tuned to DOOL.
