Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Thursday, August 4 Recap – Xander & Sarah’s Motel Mask Mission – Nicole Spies Eric & Jada Together

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, August 4, reveals that Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) and Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) settled on a motel mask mission while Nicole Walker Hernandez (Arianne Zucker) spied Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) and Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) together. Here’s how all the DOOL action played out.

At the Salem PD, Xander ranted at Jada and Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) since Sarah’s hypnosis revealed an alibi.

Unfortunately, Jada was skeptical of Sarah conveniently remembering her ex-husband stopping by to see her.

Xander managed to make things worse by pointing out that Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder) was still in love with Sarah, so Jada acted like Rex could be covering for her.

At the Kiriakis mansion, Sarah left a voicemail for Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) before crossing paths with Sonny Kiriakis (Zach Tinker).

After Sarah filled Sonny in on her alibi, he admitted he never believed Sarah could’ve killed Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) – even while drugged and hallucinating.

Meanwhile, Chad was drunk at the pub when Eric took over as bartender and cut him off.

Chad got agitated and refused to leave, so Eric got Sonny on the phone since he didn’t know who else to call.

Sonny came to get Chad, who was stretched out over the bar trying to grab more booze.

Chad fell on the floor at one point, but Sonny ultimately got him back to the mansion and revealed that Sarah seemed to be innocent of Abigail’s murder.

Chad laughed as he wondered if Abigail just stabbed herself then, but he eventually cried since what mattered was his wife wasn’t coming back.

After Chad opened up about having trouble with the kids, he cried to Sonny and headed to bed.

In the town square, Nicole was on crutches when she found Abe Carver (James Reynolds) and Paulina Price-Carver (Jackée Harry).

There was talk about Abe’s potential governor run before Nicole opened up about her mugging ordeal.

Paulina also thought it was romantic how Eric came to Nicole’s rescue, so she wondered when they were getting back together.

Nicole admitted she was married to Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) now, so Paulina suggested Nicole should’ve consulted with her first!

In a moment alone with Abe, Nicole talked about Rafe getting the wrong idea when he saw Eric comforting her.

Although Nicole insisted Rafe had nothing to worry about, Abe didn’t seem so sure.

Paulina and Abe urged Nicole to join them for dinner on Thursday’s Days episode, but she said three was a crowd.

Besides, Nicole thought she could talk Rafe into a romantic dinner instead.

Back at the police station, Eric showed up to make sure everything was squared away regarding his statement.

Jada was in a foul mood after arguing with Xander, but she bonded with Eric since he wasn’t a fan of him either.

Eric confessed Xander slept with his ex-wife, but he acknowledged he also wasn’t a very good husband to Nicole and didn’t focus on their marriage.

Jada still hadn’t looked at the pub rooms that were available, so Eric insisted on showing them to her himself.

When Jada suggested she could take Eric to lunch afterward, he said that wasn’t necessary.

Jada admitted she didn’t mean as a “thank you,” so Eric realized she was asking him out.

Right as Nicole walked in to witness the exchange, Eric accepted the lunch offer – and Jada said it was a date.

Once Xander met back up with Sarah on Thursday’s Days episode, he complained about Jada and her doubts about the alibi.

Sarah didn’t think Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) could lie while under hypnosis, so she realized there was a way she could be in two places at once.

That led Sarah to the conclusion that Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) still had the Sarah mask and was the killer that night.

Sarah also speculated that Gwen wanted Lucas or someone else to see her – that way, she could kill two birds with one stone and frame her for Abigail’s murder.

Since Gwen had texted Xander her motel room info, he decided they should search her room for the mask and get evidence.

At the Horton house, Gwen visited Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) to let him know she didn’t ask for the pardon and wasn’t trying to evade justice.

Jack was cold at first, but he warmed up once he heard what Gwen had to say.

When Rafe arrived, he told Jack about Sarah’s alibi as Gwen listened nervously.

Gwen piped up about Lucas’ claims, so Rafe acted like they’d have to take a closer look at things – though he didn’t see how Sarah could be in two places at once.

While Gwen remembered pulling the Sarah mask out of her suitcase, Rafe prepared to leave.

Since Sarah seemed to be in the clear, Jack was relieved for Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) since it must’ve been hard thinking her daughter was capable of murder.
