Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Thursday, August 4, teases that Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) will blast Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) and Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) while Paulina Price-Carver (Jackée Harry) has a pop quiz for Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan). Sonny Kiriakis (Zach Tinker) will also pull off a rescue, so here’s what DOOL viewers will see next.
At the Salem PD, Xander will come blowing in and hurl complaints over Abigail DiMera’s (Marci Miller) murder investigation.
Now that Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder) can give Sarah an alibi, Xander will rage over Lucas Horton’s (Bryan Dattilo) deception and the mess he caused.
However, Jada and Rafe may point out that everything else in Lucas’ story lines up.
Since Rex admittedly still loves Sarah, Rafe and Jada might even consider the possibility that he’s covering for her.
Of course, DOOL fans know Rex really did show up and stay with Sarah while she slept.
Sarah was in bed when Abigail was murdered, so she wasn’t at the mansion like Lucas claimed.
Nevertheless, Lucas wasn’t lying about seeing Sarah there – or at least seeing a version of her.
Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) still has the Sarah mask in her possession, so she clearly donned it that evening when she broke out of Statesville.
After Xander rips into Rafe and Jada for botching the case, he’ll reconvene with Sarah and try to work through the clues.
Days spoilers say Sarah and Xander will contemplate who the real killer might be, so they should settle on Gwen as the most likely culprit – especially considering her penchant for mask wearing.
At the pub, Eric will feel like Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) has had more than enough to drink.
Chad will indeed be intoxicated since it’s the easiest way to cope with his grief right now.
We may see Chad lash out at Eric for refusing to serve him, but Sonny will come to his BFF’s rescue and make sure he gets home OK.
Sonny has had to step up for Chad a lot lately, but he knows Chad would do the same for him if the situation were reversed.
When Paulina bumps into Eric, she’ll put him through a pop quiz of the romantic variety.
Paulina will want the scoop on Nicole Walker Hernandez (Arianne Zucker), so she may suspect Eric is hung up on his former flame despite her new marriage.
Eric may admit he’s always going to care about Nicole, but he’ll want to respect boundaries and let her be happy with Rafe.
Paulina, on the other hand, may think true love has a way of winning out and hint that “Ericole” could reunite in time.
Until then, Days spoilers say Jada will decide to make a bold move with Eric, who’ll get asked out on a date.
Eric will mull it over and accept Jada’s offer, so they should have a lovely dinner during the week of August 8-12 – though it’ll inevitably bring out Nicole’s jealous side.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Nicole will struggle to let go of Eric, so their magnetic pull could bring them back together down the road.
