Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, February 24, reveals that Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) snooped on Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) phone while Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) accused Craig Wesley (Kevin Spirtas) of flirting with Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman). Here’s how all the Days drama went down.
In Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) office on Thursday’s DOOL episode, she smiled over all John’s Valentine’s Day gifts on her desk.
John spoke to Marlena over the phone as they planned their upcoming spa day, but a distraught Nancy Wesley (Patrika Darbo) interrupted.
Marlena disconnected from John and turned her attention to Nancy, who admitted Craig was gay and broke up their marriage by cheating with a man.
Nancy thought maybe it was a midlife crisis or just a phase, but Marlena urged her to accept this is who Craig was.
However, Marlena pointed out it was wrong for Craig to keep secrets and knew the end of a marriage was a tough loss.
Marlena assured Nancy this wasn’t her fault, but she also admitted there was no magic pill or easy fix. She said it would take time to heal and urged Nancy to rely on her support system.
In the town square, shirtless Johnny was all sweaty from his run. He asked “what the hell” Craig was looking at, but then he had some fun messing with the doc.
Johnny forced Craig to touch his pectorals to see if one was torn, so Chloe interrupted and wondered what was going on.
After Johnny dashed off, Chloe accused Craig of flirting with a young guy in public.
Craig denied that, but he was done pretending he wasn’t attracted to men. Chloe softened since she knew things had been difficult for Craig.
When Craig admitted his boyfriend booked a flight to come see him, he hoped Chloe would be willing to meet his new man.
Chloe agreed to think about it before heading off to find Brady Black (Eric Martsolf).
After getting updates from Brady, John joined Marlena in her office and mentioned the Craig situation.
Marlena noted that Nancy was her new patient and reflected on how much she appreciated her own solid marriage to John.
As for Chloe, she showed up at the townhouse and filled Brady in on Craig’s invitation to meet his new boyfriend.
Chloe felt like she was betraying her mom, but she also wanted to support her dad and thought it’d be easier if Brady went with her.
Brady assured Chloe that he had no other plans tonight, so he agreed to accompany her to dinner and meet this new mystery guy.
Across town, Craig encountered Nancy and hoped he could still be her friend, but Nancy snapped that he wasn’t one and wanted a divorce.
In the Salem PD interrogation room, Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) assured Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) that he’d done nothing wrong.
Rafe flashed back to their conference table hookup and wondered if Nicole was sure about that, so Nicole said he’d done nothing criminal anyway.
Nicole thought Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) was afraid to show her face after framing Rafe, but Ava walked in with cookies and a kiss for her beau.
Ava also gushed over what a cheerleader Nicole was and played dumb about why anyone would accuse a great guy like Rafe of anything.
Nicole finally decided she’d had enough and blurted out that Ava wanted revenge because they made love.
Ava pretended she was in the dark until now and acted hurt over her best friend sleeping with her boyfriend.
Ava grilled Rafe for all the details and felt their whole relationship had been a lie.
After Ava lashed out, Rafe said this wasn’t on Nicole. He felt he owed Ava the truth, but Ava was incensed over Nicole talking him into lying.
Nicole ranted about Ava being the same old “vindictive bitch” and accused her of framing Rafe for crimes he didn’t commit.
Rafe begged Ava to help him get the charges dropped, but Ava said she had nothing to confess and wished Rafe luck in court since he would need it.
At home on Thursday’s Days episode, Jake woke Gabi up with a rose and kept trying to get romantic with her.
Gabi rejected Jake’s chocolate-covered cherry by claiming she was allergic and seemed uncomfortable over his kiss.
After Gabi shut down Jake’s attempt to celebrate Valentine’s Day, she insisted she needed to support Rafe on the first day of his trial.
While Gabi was out of the room, Jake snooped on her phone and saw that Johnny was trying to be her Valentine.
Johnny also texted that he hoped to see Gabi today so she could give him an answer.
Later, Jake stopped by the interrogation room at the Salem PD and learned Gabi never showed up there.
That left Jake wondering “where the hell” Gabi really was.
At the DiMera mansion, Johnny munched on some Valentine’s Day chocolates before Gabi arrived.
Gabi hoped that maybe she’d misunderstood Jake and that he hadn’t betrayed her, but Johnny had new “indisputable proof.”
Thanks to the legal department, Johnny said he found a formal petition that would transfer the shares Gabi got from Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) to Jake.
Jake supposedly claimed he was the rightful heir as Stefan’s twin, so Johnny showed off Jake’s signature on the document.
Of course, this was all part of the devil’s trickery, but Gabi bought it and called Jake a “bastard.”
Gabi vowed to kill Jake, but Johnny convinced her to stick to the plan of screwing Jake over before he screwed her first.
Johnny also gave Gabi a chocolate-covered cherry and guessed it was her favorite.
After Rafe was dressed and waiting for court to start, Nicole apologized for going off on Ava.
Rafe was relieved to have everything out in the open since it meant they could be together.
That said, Rafe understood if Nicole didn’t want to spend the next however many years talking to a guy in a jumpsuit through a glass wall.
Nicole refused to accept that outcome and vowed not to give up. She told Rafe that she’d find a way to prove Ava framed him.
