Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Thursday, March 24 Recap – Sarah’s Severe Brain Damage – Maggie Refuses Bayview & Turns to Tony

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, March 24, reveals that Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) had severe brain damage, but Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) refused a Bayview transfer and turned to Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) for help. Here’s how it all went down on Thursday’s DOOL episode.

In their hotel suite, Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) got off the phone with Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) right as Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) returned.

Gwen admitted Jack would be in town for their wedding – that is if Xander still wanted to get married.

Xander couldn’t give Gwen the answer she wanted since getting Sarah back to her old self was his priority.

Gwen wondered what would happen if Sarah regained her memories, but Xander still couldn’t tell her anything beyond what he’d already answered.

After Xander dashed off to see Sarah at the hospital, Gwen was down in the dumps.

Gwen took a call from Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun), who found out about the fake Renee DuMonde (Philece Sampler) dilemma and listened to Gwen’s woes.

Ava was in a motel room as she talked to Gwen and soon turned her attention to the TV since Rafe Hernandez’s (Galen Gering) verdict was in.

Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) supported Rafe before he headed back in the courtroom to find out what the jury had decided.

Later, Rafe was overjoyed since the jury had found him not guilty. Nicole insisted the jury could tell that Rafe had been set up.

Although DA Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) argued she could still go after Nicole for witness tampering, Nicole invited her to try since the witnesses were all corrupt anyway.

When Ava saw on the news that Rafe had been found not guilty, she flew into a rage and hurled things around her motel room.

At home, Nicole and Rafe wanted to celebrate with a toast.

They were also free to begin a real relationship, but Ava suddenly walked in and looked ready to rumble!

At the DiMera mansion on Thursday’s Days episode, Tony remained upset with Anna DiMera (Leann Hunley) over her lack of compassion for Sarah.

Meanwhile, Sarah convinced a hospital staff member to help her call the DiMera mansion’s landline.

Sarah ripped into Anna once she picked up and eventually talked to Tony about how horrible it was that they’d been separated again.

As for Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans), she had some bad news for Maggie and Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller).

The damage to Sarah’s brain was worse than it was with Abigail since she’d been injected directly.

Maggie worried Sarah would be stuck this way, but Kayla couldn’t offer a firm prognosis on that and wanted to focus on Sarah’s treatment plan.

Until the specialist could figure one out, Kayla recommended Sarah be transferred to Bayview.

However, as long as Sarah wasn’t a danger to herself and others, the decision was up to Maggie.

Since Maggie couldn’t bear the idea of committing Sarah, she wanted to take her daughter back to the Kiriakis mansion.

Next on Thursday’s Days episode, Xander paid Sarah a visit and hated seeing her tied up like this.

Sarah lashed out at Xander before Maggie came in and insisted on taking Sarah home.

Unfortunately, “Renee” made it clear that her home was with Tony. If “Renee” couldn’t be with Tony, she said she’d lose her mind!

Maggie then headed for the DiMera mansion and asked Tony if he’d be willing to move in the Kiriakis mansion temporarily for Sarah’s sake.

Maggie got emotional since she didn’t want to have Sarah committed and truly believed this was the only way Sarah would come home with her.

Maffie knew she was asking a lot of both Tony and Anna, but she was clearly desperate.

Anna was furious after Tony got on board, but he urged her to think about how she’d feel if Carrie Brady Reed (Christie Clark) were in this situation.

As for Maggie, she returned to Sarah and revealed that Tony would be coming home with them as well.

Back with Xander, he found Kayla and was upset over the severity of Sarah’s brain damage.

It took Abigail months to recover, but Kayla admitted it could take years.

Xander then countered that it could be forever, but Kayla didn’t think they should put a timetable on Sarah’s recovery.

When Abigail appeared, Xander lashed out over her “wayward syringe” and what it had done to Sarah.

Abigail was apologetic, but she pointed out she never would’ve known about the drug if it hadn’t been for Gwen using it first.

Xander warned Abigail not to dare blame Gwen and argued that Abigail’s revenge plot was the real problem.

It eventually clicked for Abigail that if Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay) could make the drug, perhaps he could make the antidote.

Abigail wasn’t sure Dr. Rolf would be willing to help, but she thought maybe Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) could talk to the doc since Rolf had a soft spot for him.

Back in their hotel suite, Xander relayed the antidote idea to Gwen. Xander admitted he wanted Gwen to come with him to see Dr. Rolf at Statesville.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say Gwen will continue to land in tight spots, so stick with DOOL!
