Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, March 3, reveals that Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) amnesia chicken plot was derailed after Sarah Horton’s (Linsey Godfrey) drug swap saved everyone from memory loss. Let’s look at how DOOL’s latest action played out.
In their hotel suite on Thursday’s Days episode, Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) discussed wedding plans with Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer).
Gwen shut down the idea of Jennifer Deveraux (Melissa Reeves) being her maid of honor and got uncomfortable when Xander suggested Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) instead.
Gwen acted like she didn’t know Ava all that well and thought she could figure something else out.
Xander suggested visiting the Horton house together to support Jennifer and Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) while Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) was missing, but Gwen nixed that plan.
Since Xander also wanted to ask Jack to be his best man, Gwen thought maybe he should tackle that task alone.
After Xander left, Ava showed up ranting about the search for Abigail and was concerned about everything blowing up in their faces.
However, Ava ultimately calmed down and heard the news of Gwen’s engagement.
Gwen admired the ring and acted like everyone was finding blissful relationships except her, but she had revenge to keep her warm!
Gwen advised against vengeance, but Ava was jaded since trying to change had gotten her nowhere.
At the Horton house, Jack thrilled Jennifer with updates on Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) heading for the abandoned DiMera island, where they believed Abigail was being held.
Anna DiMera (Leann Hunley) arrived and got the scoop, so she recalled Tony spending some time on that island with his “bonkers” ex-lover, Renee DuMonde (Philece Sampler).
Talk turned to Gwen’s engagement, so Anna basically wondered who would be willing to put up with a horrible, lying woman like her.
Xander appeared and revealed he was the one marrying Gwen, so that led to some bickering about whether Gwen had changed.
Xander was overjoyed to learn Abigail had been found and suggested Gwen would be relieved as well.
When Jack learned Xander wanted him to be his best man, he accepted the job and enjoyed a sweet moment with his buddy.
Jack also offered Jennifer some Valentine’s Day gifts as they celebrated their own romance.
Back at the Salem Inn, Gwen tried to cover her nervousness when Xander insisted Abigail was coming home.
Meanwhile, Tony was taken aback over Sarah declaring her love and trying to kiss him on the remote island.
Tony annoyed Sarah with talk about being a happily married man.
After Abigail explained why Sarah believed she was Renee DuMonde, she also spoke to Chad alone about what happened before she went missing.
Abigail remembered seeing Ava, but she didn’t know who knocked her out from behind.
Chad assured Abigail that both Ava and her accomplice were going down.
They met back up with Tony as well as Sarah, who insisted on having her favorite island chicken that Kristen had prepared for them.
“Renee” refused to share where Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) were until they all had dinner together.
Tony, Sarah, Chad and Abigail then dug in since they had no other choice.
Over with Kristen, she held her gun on Kayla and Steve as she admitted she did something to the chicken.
Kristen admitted it was stronger than a sedative, but she denied that it was strong enough to kill them.
Instead, Kristen said that chicken came with a side of amnesia.
Kristen explained that she also drugged the meal she prepared for Sarah and Abigail, so she didn’t think any of them would know how to tie their own shoes soon.
Steve wound up attacking Kristen and tying her up while Kayla pointed the weapon at her.
Kristen was adamant about memory loss being imminent, so Steve and Kayla left her locked away while they looked for Abigail and Sarah.
Unfortunately, Kayla and Steve realized they were too late to stop everyone else from eating the chicken.
Before panic could set in, Sarah piped up about noticing the vial filled with cloudy liquid and swapping it out for milk earlier.
Sarah insisted there was no danger unless someone was lactose intolerant.
That meant Steve, Kayla, Chad, Abigail, Tony and Sarah were all spared from the amnesia plot Kristen intended.
When Kayla and Steve went back to look for captive Kristen, they realized she had made her escape.
As for Sarah on Thursday’s Days episode, she made it clear to Tony that their first stop back in Salem would be divorce court.
“Renee” was eager for Tony to ditch Anna and get their own relationship back on track.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Sarah’s mental issues will lead to even more chaos and confusion, so stay tuned to DOOL!
