Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Thursday, May 26, teases that Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) will receive unexpected advice while Holly Jonas (Elin Alexander) faces some big news. Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) will also get a romantic surprise, even in the most tragic of circumstances.
At the pub, Sarah will be in slightly better spirits as she continues to cope with the loss of her little girl.
On top of Mackenzie “Mickey” Horton’s death, Sarah’s had to deal with the knowledge that Xander betrayed her with a baby swap and plenty of lies.
Even so, Sarah will manage to smile a bit as she interacts with Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan).
Eric’s been a huge help during this difficult time, so she’ll listen when he offers some surprising guidance.
It’s no secret that Eric and Xander don’t get along.
Xander has tried to kill Eric on more than one occasion – not to mention Xander slept with Nicole and helped blow up her marriage to Eric.
There’s no reason why Eric should do Xander any favors, but it sounds like he’ll do one anyway.
Eric won’t want to see Sarah this miserable, so he may admit he saw genuine love between “Xarah” once upon a time.
Sarah was able to forgive Xander for the baby switch in the past and was even planning to marry him, so a fresh start is possible.
It’s just a matter of Sarah letting her walls down enough to open her heart.
Eric can’t tell Sarah what to do, but he may warn her not to fight her feelings.
If Sarah still wants Xander deep down, then going against those feelings will just make things harder on her.
It turns out Xander will get a favor from someone else he shares a complicated history with.
Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) had a brief marriage to Xander, so she may roll her eyes when he comes looking for help.
Since Chanel has enough to worry about with Paulina behind bars, she might be wary of adding more issues through Xander.
However, Days spoilers say Xander’s task for Chanel should be a pretty simple one.
It sounds like Xander will want a special cake for Sarah – either as an apology or perhaps one to recreate the cake she popped the question with.
Chanel should decide she’s on board since she needs to keep her mind of Paulina’s awful situation anyway.
After Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) visits Abe and potentially confirms Lani Price-Grant’s (Sal Stowers) guilt to him, Abe will be ready to pour his heart out to Paulina.
There’ll be some sweet moments as Abe approaches Paulina fresh out of the hospital.
Abe may acknowledge that he knows what Paulina is doing and understands why she’s fighting so hard to protect Lani.
DOOL fans know Lani is the one who killed TR Coates (William Christian), but Paulina is doing whatever she can to keep that under wraps and take the blame.
Days spoilers say Abe will hold Paulina’s hand and admit he’s still in love with her.
Perhaps Abe will give Paulina some hope by promising a real reunion once they get her out of this mess.
Elsewhere, Lani will feel like this horrible guilt is going to consume her.
Between the nightmares Lani’s been having and seeing Paulina in lockup, Lani won’t know how much she can take!
At home, Holly will wake up for breakfast and get some shocking engagement updates.
There’ll be some awkward moments as Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) and Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) explain that they’re getting married.
Holly’s preference would likely be for Nicole to remarry Eric instead – and she’s usually not shy about speaking her mind.
Even so, Holly likes Rafe well enough and shouldn’t be opposed to this marriage once Nicole explains everything.
Nicole will show off her ring and perhaps get Holly excited about flower girl duties.
Soon after, Nicole will head to the pub and hope to deliver this news to Eric before he hears it from someone else.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Nicole will let Eric know she’s engaged to Rafe, but he’ll also reveal that he’s been removed from the priesthood.
The thought of a now single Eric will throw Nicole for a loop, but she’ll try to hide whatever feelings start to bubble up again.
