Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, October 13, reveals that Orpheus (George DelHoyo) offered a special delivery while Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) married Roman Brady (Josh Taylor). Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) also complained about a lab raid, so here’s how all the DOOL drama went down.
At Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) apartment, Dr. Rolf showed up grumbling about the police barging in his lab with a search warrant.
Kristen thought it was fortunate that she had the rare orchid in her possession, but Dr. Rolf wondered what her real plan was.
Although Kristen remained cagey about her intentions, Dr. Rolf pointed out that the only prize that mattered to her was Brady Black (Eric Martsolf).
As far as they knew, this was the last orchid of its kind, so Dr. Rolf suggested it was also the last chance for Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall), Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) and Kate to survive.
At the hospital, Sarah Cook (Linsey Godfrey) wanted to help, but Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder) insisted nothing could be done without the orchid.
Although Rex messed up badly when they were a couple, he was grateful for the time they had together and now just wanted Sarah’s happiness.
After Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) finished searching Dr. Rolf’s lab, he called John Black (Drake Hogestyn) with bad news since there was no sign of the orchid.
Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) led a prayer as he gathered around Marlena’s bedside with John and Belle Brady (Martha Madison), but Marlena ultimately pushed Eric to go check on Kate and Roman.
Although Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) was stuck out of town, she gave Marlena her love over the phone.
Later, Sarah brought in an orchid that had been delivered for Marlena, so John was hopeful until he read the card.
It turns out it wasn’t the right orchid at all; it was just a cruel gift that would wilt and die like Marlena according to Orpheus.
In Kate’s bedroom on Thursday’s Days episode, Roman proposed and was initially turned down.
Kate didn’t see the point since there was no cure and death was imminent, but Roman refused to give up on her.
It took some convincing, but Roman eventually got Kate to agree they’d marry right away.
As luck would have it, Eric and Rex arrived right as Roman pointed out they needed an officiant and witness.
As Eric led Kate and Roman through their vows, they flashed back to romantic moments together and exchanged rings.
Eric pronounced them husband and wife, so Roman happily kissed the bride.
In bed together on Thursday’s Days episode, Brady was stunned over Chloe Lane’s (Nadia Bjorlin) suggestion that they should break up.
Chloe acknowledged that Kristen was driving a wedge and feared Rachel Black (Finley Rose Slater) would never move past her anger.
Brady insisted Rachel would come around and refused to give Kristen what she wanted.
However, Kristen summoned Brady to her place soon after and hinted that maybe Marlena didn’t have to die.
Kristen said that maybe she could save Marlena, Kayla and Kate.
