Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, September 1, reveals that Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) landed at a Sonny Kiriakis (Zach Tinker) crime scene while Orpheus’ (George DelHoyo) explosion was stopped just in time.
At Titan, Sonny scolded Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) for texting Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) with a hot tub invite since she wasn’t interested and it was against company policy.
Alex and Sonny bickered on Thursday’s DOOL episode, but they expressed their love before Alex headed out for drinks with Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) and Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens).
In the town square, an annoyed Stephanie deleted Alex’s text and decided she’d try to find somewhere she could get a good Cosmo.
That led to Stephanie crossing paths with Leo, who loved her outfit and instantly became friends with her over drinks at the bistro.
Leo told Stephanie that his name was Matt and admitted he’d had a falling out with his bestie recently.
Stephanie opened up about coming back to Salem from Seattle and wanted the details on how Leo screwed his BFF over.
While Leo was off getting another round, Alex appeared nearby on the phone.
After abandoning his plan to meet up with Chanel and Allie, Alex hung up and approached Stephanie.
Although Stephanie pretended she was on a date, Alex recognized Leo when he returned and grabbed him angrily.
Stephanie was stunned to learn Leo had recently been accused of Abigail DiMera’s (Marci Miller) murder and that he drugged Sonny so that he could take filthy pictures with him.
Alex delivered a fierce warning before Leo rushed off – leaving Stephanie rather impressed over the way Alex stood up for his brother.
Even so, Stephanie made it clear that she wasn’t like other girls who’d fall for Alex just because he was handsome.
Once Stephanie departed, Alex smiled over the fact that she thought he was handsome.
At the pub on Thursday’s Days episode, Orpheus had a box delivered to Roman Brady (Josh Taylor), Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and John Black (Drake Hogestyn).
That box contained a series of puzzles that the men would have to solve within one hour.
There was a video message from Orpheus, who delivered instructions and made the guys realize a bomb would explode if they didn’t work fast.
John, Roman and Steve worked through some tricky riddles involving their history with Orpheus before realizing where the warehouse was located.
At that warehouse, Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) explained that she’d been targeted because she was back together with Roman Brady (Josh Taylor).
Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) was hesitant to forgive, but Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) decided she could since Roman had.
Orpheus eventually spoke to his captives over some audio equipment he’d installed and suggested it looked like their rescuers weren’t going to make it.
However, Steve burst in with John and Roman before cutting the cord on the bomb in the electrical panel.
That stopped the explosion countdown in the nick of time and allowed Kayla, Marlena and Kate to be untied for happy reunions.
Orpheus watched everyone celebrating on a monitor somewhere, but he made it clear that the games had only just begun.
In Gwen’s prison cell on Thursday’s Days episode, she begged furious Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) to believe she was innocent and suggested Leo’s lawyer talked him into lying.
Gwen suspected Leo was actually guilty and that’s why Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) got him to throw his bestie under the bus.
After Gwen mentioned Leo’s revenge list, she warned that they all needed to watch their backs.
Meanwhile, Leo stopped by Titan to ask Sonny’s forgiveness and express a desire for friendship.
When Sonny balked, Leo hoped they could at least not be enemies.
Sonny finally relented, but he obviously wasn’t interested in hanging out for a chat. Leo left, but he returned soon after with a parking-related question.
That led to Leo finding his old revenge list with blood on it – and Sonny was on the floor with a knife in his back!
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Leo’s going to end up in some hot water, so stick with DOOL.
