Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, April 19, reveals that Jennifer Deveraux’s (Melissa Reeves) Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) bubble burst after Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) revealed the truth – or at least part of it. Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) and Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) also decided to go public, so here’s how Tuesday’s DOOL drama went down.
At the Horton house, Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) was glad to have Jennifer and Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) back in town for the double wedding.
Jennifer and Jack were stunned when they learned Craig Wesley (Kevin Spirtas) was marrying Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart).
Although Leo wasn’t happy about getting ambushed, he knew Craig was right about this being the only way to prove their love was real.
Leo also had a confession to make before the nuptials. He admitted to trying to get Xander into bed years ago when he was a player.
Leo assured Craig that nothing happened since Xander was straight and hoped Craig wasn’t upset with him.
Craig was glad that Leo had been honest, so they shared a hug and continued building their connection ahead of the ceremony.
At the town house on Tuesday’s Days episode, Chloe gave Brady updates on Leo signing the prenup.
Chloe considered the possibility that maybe they were wrong about Leo and that he’d really changed.
Regardless, Chloe didn’t think there was anything else that could be done to stop the marriage from happening.
Brady insisted there might be and mentioned Sonny Kiriakis’ (Zach Tinker) plan with Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) to find Jackie Cox, Leo’s old partner in crime.
After Brady told Chloe that he’d be by her side at the ceremony, she pointed out that’d mean going public.
Brady was ready to make it official, so he shared some passionate kisses with Chloe before Sonny sent a text.
It let Brady know that after a meeting with Jackie, Chad and Sonny now had dirt on Leo.
Meanwhile, Jack and Xander made their way to Craig and Leo’s hotel suite. They guys all shared a drink and made some toasts ahead of the nuptials.
Once Xander and Jack left, Craig acted like Xander wasn’t the hunk Leo made him out to be.
After Craig insisted he only had eyes for Leo, Xander showed up wearing only a towel. He got some mini shampoo bottles as Craig checked out Xander’s hot body and realized he was wrong.
At the police station, Gwen made up excuses for her disguised appearance and reason for being at the Salem PD.
Abigail also lied about not being able to pry the name of Ava Vitali’s (Tamara Braun) accomplice out of her.
After Abigail sent Gwen home and promised to catch up, she paid Ava another visit.
Abigail was hopeful about working out Ava’s immunity deal with DA Melinda Trask (Tina Huang).
Ava wanted confirmation on the deal first, but she vowed to give Abigail all the dirt she needed to bury Gwen.
Back with Gwen, she asked Jack to give her away at the wedding. That left Jack honored as he gladly agreed to do it.
Gwen also shared some alone time with Jennifer and acknowledged her horrible history.
Even so, Gwen felt she was on a better path now and was grateful to have a family.
Family was everything to Jennifer, who assured Gwen that she was proud of the person she’d become.
When Abigail walked in on Gwen and Jennifer hugging, she glared before interrupting the warm moment.
While Gwen was out of the room getting ready, Abigail admitted to Jennifer that Gwen was Ava Vitali’s (Tamara Braun) accomplice.
Abigail didn’t want to confront Gwen until she locked in Ava’s plea deal and learned the rest of the story.
On Tuesday’s Days episode, Jennifer reeled over Gwen’s “miraculous change of character” being an act.
Jennifer knew Jack would be devastated and joined Abigail in worrying that Gwen might be planning something else.
Abigail insisted she could protect herself, but she was determined to get the whole truth.
When Gwen returned, she overheard and wondered what Abigail was talking to Jennifer about.
Abigail covered and kept up her matron of honor duties by helping with Gwen’s dress.
At the pub, Nancy Miller (Patrika Darbo) met Clyde Weston (James Read), who was upfront about being back on the market because he was fresh out of prison.
Nancy decided that wasn’t a deal-breaker and appreciated how honest Clyde was being since her last husband lied about cheating on her.
After Clyde learned Nancy wanted a date for her ex’s wedding, he urged Nancy to attend alone.
Clyde thought that everyone there would see the strong, confident woman he saw.
Plus, Clyde wanted Nancy all to himself when they went on their first official date!
