Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, February 22, reveals that Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) planned a trip to a Key West bungalow while EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feuerriegel) memory issues benefited Clyde Weston (James Read). Let’s talk about how all Tuesday’s DOOL action played out.
At the DiMera mansion on Tuesday’s Days episode, Chad declared that Shawn Brady’s (Brandon Beemer) lead could be the key to finding Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller).
Once Chad disconnected, he filled Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) in on the DiMera pilot Abigail had tracked down before she went missing.
Kate wound up mentioning EJ being locked up for a crime he didn’t commit, but Chad wasn’t concerned about his brother and took jabs since Kate’s own son was responsible.
Kate defended her decision to protect Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo), but she feared Roman Brady’s (Josh Taylor) reaction if he found out she let Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) go off gallivanting with her kidnapper.
Tony was a bit suspicious of their conversation when he interrupted, but Kate and Chad managed to cover.
Once the DiMera pilot came up, Tony thought he could help locate Ned Grainger and recalled the bungalow that Ned had in Key West.
Chad was eager to hop a plane with Tony and track Ned’s place down.
At Statesville, Clyde approached EJ in their shared cell. There was tension initially since Clyde didn’t seem to buy that EJ was innocent.
Clyde also taunted EJ over his failed attempt to run drugs, so EJ flashed back to getting shot and wished he could’ve confronted the SOB who pulled the trigger.
Clyde fished to find out just how much EJ remembered about that night, but EJ admitted it wasn’t much due to the side effects of the back-from-the-dead serum.
Although Clyde turned a DiMera henchman into a deadly traitor, EJ believed the bogus story about a random addict mugging him.
EJ suggested that if his shooter wasn’t already dead from an overdose, he would kill the guy himself!
Clyde realized that EJ didn’t remember him double-crossing him and hoped it stayed that way, especially for EJ’s sake.
Clyde even agreed to show his old boss the ropes now that EJ was behind bars.
On the island, Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) held Abigail at gunpoint and forced her hand over the keys she stole.
Kristen also admitted that Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) caught her without her Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) getup on, so she stashed in in the DiMera secret room and got into a struggle with her.
When Kristen explained how Sarah got jabbed with the syringe, Abigail realized she was responsible for Sarah’s psychotic break.
Abigail flashed back to holding Gwen Rizchech (Emily O’Brien) hostage in the DiMera secret room and threatening her with that same syringe.
Abigail recalled how that drug caused hallucinations, so Kristen admitted she used Sarah’s delusions to her advantage.
Kristen was able to make Sarah think that she was going off on some island getaway with Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer), so Sarah got in the suitcase willingly.
However, Kristen ultimately admitted that Sarah was doing quite well and wasn’t hung up on Xander anymore.
While Abigail tried to make sense of Kristen’s explanation, Sarah approached Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) in the storm shelter.
Sarah was excited to see Kayla and felt like this was a dream come true. She was eager to escape, but she had no idea who Steve was.
Steve insisted he was married to Kayla, so Sarah congratulated them before shutting down the idea that she could’ve been the maid of honor.
Kayla assumed Sarah must’ve had a mental break that resulted in selective amnesia.
Steve hoped that maybe getting back to Salem would trigger the rest of Sarah’s memories as they gathered up supplies for their ocean getaway.
Sarah remembered Abe Carver (James Reynolds) when his name came up, but she didn’t know what pub they were talking about and was confused when they called her “Sarah.”
After Sarah started gushing over a dark-haired man with soulful eyes and a captivating voice, Kayla and Steve assumed she remembered Xander.
Unfortunately, Sarah insisted she was talking about Tony, who she considered the love of her life.
That led to speculation that Sarah thought she was Anna DiMera (Leann Hunley), but Sarah was offended over them confusing her with that “scheming bitch.”
Sarah eventually declared she was the one and only Renee DuMonde (Philece Sampler)!
Back in Salem on Tuesday’s Days episode, Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) showed up at Xander and Gwen’s hotel room.
Jack wanted Gwen to be honest about her potential involvement in Abigail’s disappearance, but Xander shut down the idea that Gwen had anything to do with it – and Gwen played innocent, too.
Gwen played the role of the doting daughter and offered to be there for Jack if he needed to talk.
Jack was apologetic and even congratulated Gwen once he saw the rock on her finger. He knew Jack and Gwen were in love, so he was truly happy for both of them.
As for Abigail, Jack swore he would find the person responsible for her disappearance and make them pay!
That left Gwen nervous about the secrets she was still keeping.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Jack will keep searching for answers, so don’t miss what’s in store.
