Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Tuesday, January 4, teases that Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) will be wrongfully accused after Ava Vitali’s (Tamara Braun) “murder” scene is discovered. Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) will also get some good news, so there’ll be some interesting highs and lows ahead in Salem.
At the Hernandez house, Ava will struggle to hide her jealous, vindictive rage.
Rafe may sense that something’s bothering Ava, but she’ll plaster on a smile and pretend everything’s just peachy.
Ava’s fury will rev up even more once Nicole summons Rafe to Basic Black. Nevertheless, Ava will act like duty calls and assure Rafe it’s fine.
Days spoilers say Ava will even plant a kiss to seal her support, but she’ll be burning with anger deep down.
Ava knows Rafe betrayed her with Nicole on the conference table, but she’s not giving Nicole a pass either!
It takes two to tango – and in this case, the two people involved are Ava’s boyfriend and her bestie. This is a double betrayal that cut deeply, so Ava intends to make both Nicole and Rafe pay.
That’s why Ava used a pair of scissors to “murder” Duke, which is the teddy bear that Ava and Nicole jokingly share custody of.
Of course, Ava declared that was custody arrangement over and snipped Duke’s head off, so Nicole will be horrified when she finds the little guy’s body in two pieces.
When Rafe arrives after Nicole’s creeped-out call, he’ll get updates on the shocking discovery.
Nicole will suspect this might have Sami written all over it, but Rafe will disagree. He’ll feel like Sami has more important things to worry about than decapitating a stuffed bear for revenge.
Not to mention Sami usually goes for other types of strategies. This just isn’t Sami’s MO, so Rafe will think they need another top suspect – namely Ava.
Rafe will fear Ava might’ve learned the truth about their steamy session and made this move against Duke for payback.
Rafe’s on the verge seeking answers from Ava, but he’ll have to be careful since he doesn’t know for sure how much she’s in the loop on.
That’ll give Ava a chance to play dumb and have a little more fun with Rafe over this bear incident.
Other Days spoilers say Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) will struggle to get Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) off her mind.
Now that Maggie knows Sarah is unaccounted for, she’ll worry something dreadful might’ve happened to her.
Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) will pay Maggie a visit and insist she can use her investigative skills to find Sarah.
Abigail will plan to do whatever it takes to ease Maggie’s mind, but Gwen Rizcech (Emily O’Brien) will grow increasingly concerned about Sarah being discovered.
Gwen will continue to hide the island captivity truth from Xander, who’ll be a busy man on Tuesday’s DOOL episode.
Xander will check in with Maggie again, but he’ll also stop by Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla Johnson’s (Mary Beth Evans) place.
Xander may be pleased about the Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) search since he still feels like she’s keeping secrets.
Kayla and Steve might have some guidance regarding Xander’s friendship with Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) as well.
Xander would really like to be Jack’s pal again – and thankfully, Jack will soften his heart and let Xander back in soon enough.
Jack may admit he intends to make amends with Gwen too, but he’ll have to hurry since he’ll be leaving town with Jennifer Deveraux (Melissa Reeves) later this week.
At some point in the next episode or two, Gwen will fume over the news that Abigail is working to track down Sarah.
Until then, Kayla will refuse to let Steve carry out his Kristen mission alone, so they’ll catch a flight to Italy and plan to look for clues.
