Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, May 31, reveals that Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) had an engagement memory flood while Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) and Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) settled on a baby-making mission. Here’s how all the DOOL drama played out.
In the cemetery on Tuesday’s Days episode, Sarah realized Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) had left roses at Mackenzie “Mickey” Horton’s headstone. Xander explained how he used to bring them every day with Sarah and talked about how he viewed “Mickey” as his own.
Sarah was touched, but she wasn’t sure she could forgive Xander – that is until she remembered how he arranged for that headstone and earned her forgiveness the first time.
After Sarah ran into Xander’s arms, she forgave him and had a flood of other memories. Sarah recalled everything, including her proposal cake and their engagement. Later, Sarah and Xander remembered the last time they made love before they tumbled into bed once again.
At the DiMera mansion on Tuesday’s Days show, Chad caught EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) and Belle Brady (Martha Madison) sharing a kiss.
Although Chad knew it was none of his business, he reflected on his own situation with Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) and gave Belle a nudge toward working things out with Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer).
However, EJ took the blame and acted like he’d taken advantage of Belle in a vulnerable moment. After Chad left, EJ and Belle addressed the attraction that had been building between them, but Belle didn’t want to go down the road to another affair.
Belle seemed ready to try fixing her marriage, but then she got a box of stuff Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) had packed up – including a framed photo of Shawn and Belle from the bedroom.
Once Belle decided she knew what she needed to do, she took some legal documents to Shawn at the police station. That left a stunned Shawn wondering if Belle was divorcing him.
At the hospital, Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) assured Abigail that she was in perfect health following her check-up. When the topic of birth control came up, Abigail hinted that she might not need it since she was feeling the pull to have another baby.
At the pub, Chad told Abigail the latest gossip on EJ kissing Belle and thought his brother seemed to be genuinely falling for her. Abigail also dropped some baby hints, which led to Chad asking if she was pregnant.
Once Abigail confirmed that she wasn’t yet, Chad quickly got on board with the idea of having another child with her. It wasn’t long until Chad whisked Abigail off so they could get started on that baby-making mission.
At the Kiriakis mansion, Will Horton (Chandler Massey) and Sonny Kiriakis (Zach Tinker) rehashed Leo Stark’s (Greg Rikaart) drugging scheme before they ultimately landed at the hospital for a blood test. Sonny wanted to put Leo behind bars where he belonged.
During Leo’s prison visit, Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) admitted she wanted revenge on Abigail. Leo and Gwen brainstormed ideas, but they decided Chad and Abigail’s marriage was too strong for another cheating scandal.
After Gwen talked about how Laura Horton (Jaime Lyn Bauer) got what she deserved, she refused to tell Leo whether she killed Abigail’s grandmother intentionally. Gwen suggested that was between her and Laura – maybe someday between her and Abigail.
Leo suggested they should take murder off the table now since they were decent people are heart, but he knew there had to be some path to vengeance. Gwen agreed to think about it as they wrapped up the visit.
