Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Tuesday, November 8 Recap – Julie the Shoplifter – Chanel’s Murder Arrest – Sloan’s Last Laugh

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, November 8, reveals that Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) was an inadvertent shoplifter while Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) faced a murder arrest. Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) also got the last laugh, so let’s talk about all Tuesday’s DOOL drama.

At Paulina Price’s (Jackée Harry) campaign headquarters, Abe Carver (James Reynolds) looked at all the latest data and saw that he was ahead in the mayoral race. Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) thought Paulina seemed poised for her own victory, but she wasn’t about to count her chickens before they hatched.

After Paulina got updates on Sloan leaving a bunch of messages, she made up an excuse for Abe and sympathized with Leo over Sloan’s money harassment. Sloan decided to give Leo an advance on his salary, but she couldn’t find the safe combination and ended up vowing to get the cash for him later.

At the Kiriakis mansion, Sloan interrupted Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) and Sonny Kiriakis’ (Zach Tinker) yoga session by knocking Alex off his mat and calling him a “son of a bitch.” Alex played dumb, but Sloan knew he must’ve been the one who stole her file.

Once Sloan ripped into Alex and left, he came clean to Sonny about the theft. Although Alex didn’t know what was in the file, he was glad to help Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) – especially since she didn’t think he was scum now and asked him out to dinner.

Sloan also cornered Leo to demand the money he owed her, so he got in the safe to grab the cash Paulina promised. That led to Sloan catching a glimpse of the stolen file and looking devious.

Next on Tuesday’s Days episode, Leo found Sonny doing yoga alone and admired the view of his backside. Once Leo pushed Sonny to get dressed, he reminded him that he planned to take him out to celebrate – both Leo’s new job and Sonny’s role in taking down Clyde Weston (James Read).

Alex heard about Sonny’s night out with Leo and wondered how Will Horton (Chandler Massey) would feel about him going out with another man. Sonny made it clear this wasn’t a date and acted offended that Alex would suggest otherwise.

Outside the pub, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) found Stephanie trying to put Paulina’s poster over one belonging to her opponent. Although Chad wanted to take Stephanie out for a celebration dinner following Paulina’s victory, she admitted she already had dinner plans with Alex.

That news surprised Chad, who questioned the change of heart. Stephanie praised Alex for coming through for her with the file and thought Chad had sparked a change in her.

After Stephanie got ghosted by someone else, she shut down emotionally. It was Chad who helped Stephanie see that she wanted to put herself back out there.

Stephanie mentioned something about Chad not being interested, so he wondered who said he wasn’t. That led to Stephanie admitting she overheard Chad, who said he didn’t see a future for them.

Chad awkwardly explained how Alex questioned him about his feelings and made him uncomfortable, so he just blurted that out.

Although Chad acknowledged the attraction and admitted part of him wanted to pursue it, another part of him was still grieving Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) and didn’t know when or if he’d be able to move on.

Since Chad didn’t want Stephanie to wait around hoping for something, he approved of her decision to start dating again – even if she wanted to be with Alex.

Stephanie seemed unsure over whether this dinner was a date, but she was keeping an open mind. As for Alex, he hoped to sweep Stephanie off her feet by the end of the night.

At Allie Horton’s (Lindsay Arnold) apartment, she talked to Chanel about the questions for an interview related to Paulina’s campaign. That led to Chanel and Allie discussing their future, so they decided they were open to marriage and more children someday.

In the town square, Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) approached Julie at a table with Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) following their shopping trip. Shawn admitted the clerk at the department store accused Julie of shoplifting, so he needed to look in her bag.

Julie urged Doug to hand over the receipt for the faux mink stole that she just purchased. Doug didn’t have it since he thought Julie was the one who paid.

That led to Julie realizing she had indeed shoplifted inadvertently, but she went back to the store with Shawn and sorted it all out. Julie also took a trip down memory lane and remembered how she shoplifted a real mink stole 57 years ago to the day.

There was a Days flashback of Julie in trouble with the law before she returned home with Doug, who surprised her with a 57th anniversary cake. Doug clarified that it was to celebrate the start of Julie’s life of crime and shared a laugh with her.

After the election results came in later that night, both Abe and Paulina scored victories. However, Sloan sipped a drink alone and smugly suggested Paulina should enjoy her win while she could.

In Abe’s speech, he revealed that he’d be stepping down as mayor so he could move to the capital with Paulina. Soon after, Paulina gave her victory speech and talked about the importance of family.

Chanel was ready to celebrate with Paulina, Abe and Allie, but Shawn arrived with a warrant. Once Shawn whipped out some handcuffs, he arrested Chanel on suspicion of murder and left her stunned.
