Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, October 18, reveals that Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) sobbed over losing Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) while Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall), Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) and Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) responded to their miracle cure. Let’s talk about all Tuesday’s Days action.
At the hospital, Marlena’s heart raced after her serum injection and left her struggling to breathe.
However, Marlena’s blood pressure ultimately came back down as her vitals rebounded, so Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder) thought the antidote seemed legit.
In Kayla’s room on Tuesday’s DOOL episode, she was fading fast as her family gathered around her.
Kayla wanted Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) to have Caroline Brady’s (Peggy McCay) bracelet, but Stephanie warned she was going to give it back once her mom got better.
Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) grew impatient since Kayla was clearly near death, so he urged Rex to skip any further lab testing and provide the serum now.
Rex did as he was told, but Kayla flatlined soon after her injection.
However, Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) helped Rex revive Kayla, who also began to show signs of improvement.
Stephanie returned her mom’s bracelet before Kayla suggested they shouldn’t wait until tragedy struck to get together like this again.
Steve pushed for some alone time with Kayla, so Tripp, Stephanie and Joey Johnson (Tanner Stine) made themselves scarce.
Meanwhile, Brady covered with Chloe after she caught him on an angry phone call.
Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) eventually showed up in person and looked displeased over Brady kissing Chloe in gratitude for her support.
After Brady caught Kristen taunting Chloe, he wondered what Kristen said to her.
Chloe admitted that Kristen urged her to offer a breakup again or just do it herself.
Brady then sat Chloe down and talked about how they couldn’t go on like this.
Although Brady loved Chloe, he acted like there was just no other way and suggested he had to put Rachel Black (Finley Rose Slater) first.
Chloe realized Brady was breaking up with her, so he said he was sorry and kept trying to let her down gently.
Since Chloe was becoming more upset, she told Brady she understood and rushed over to the elevator.
As Chloe waited on the doors to close, she sobbed and left Brady distraught over her pain.
Next, Kristen paid Marlena and John Black (Drake Hogestyn) a visit. After Kristen suggested there was part of her that wanted to see Kristen suffer and maybe even die, she reminded herself that God was all-forgiving.
Since Marlena received divine intervention, Kristen was certain her own situation would improve, too.
John urged Kristen to stop speaking in code, but Kristen thought he understood her perfectly well.
After Kristen decided to leave John and Marlena to their cringy PDA, she told them they were welcome and left.
Marlena decided she didn’t care what was going on with Kristen since she was finally on the road to recovery.
Nevertheless, John seemed nervous over how much Orpheus (George DelHoyo) put them through and just hoped this was finally over.
Back with Kristen, she realized Brady dumped Chloe like he was supposed to.
Kristen knew Brady could do it and assured him that Chloe would be fine – that is until she found out he’d rejected her for the likes of Kristen!
With a smile, Kristen warned that would drive a stake in Chloe’s so-called love story. “You’re welcome,” Kristen said.
In Kate’s room above the pub, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) paid her a visit while Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) was gone.
That led to Chad opening up about his close call with Stephanie, but he knew he wasn’t ready to let go of Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller).
Kate later struggled to stay conscious, but Rex showed up and gave her a serum dose.
Fortunately, Kate had no side effects and improved enough that she wanted to celebrate her wedding night with Roman later.
As for Chad on Tuesday’s Days episode, he called Stephanie and offered positive updates on Kate.
Chad told Stephanie she could take the day with her family tomorrow if she wanted, but Stephanie assured him that she’d see him bright and early for work.
