Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, August 17, reveals that Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) pulled a gun on Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) while Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) offered the true killer to the cops. Here’s how all the Days drama went down.
At the Kiriakis mansion on Wednesday’s DOOL episode, Alex was shirtless after a hot night with “Lisa” – though she quickly corrected him since her name was Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty).
Sonny Kiriakis (Zach Tinker) heard how Alex met Sloan at the bar after striking out with the beautiful Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus).
Sloan piped up since she was sitting right there, but Alex insisted she was beautiful, too.
However, Sloan seemed only mildly annoyed and eventually headed to work.
Sonny called Alex out for using women, but Alex argued that the women he sleeps with don’t mind that he’s not looking for anything serious.
After Alex saw a news story about Leo’s police situation, he brought it to Sonny’s attention.
Sonny worried that if Leo indeed killed Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller), it was his fault for involving her in that mess.
That said, Sonny didn’t really believe Leo was guilty of Abigail’s murder.
At one point on Wednesday’s Days episode, Sonny got updates on the company that was snatched up before he could buy it recently.
After Sonny received an offer that seemed too good to be true, he decided not to take the risk and refused to buy it now.
Alex was frustrated and grumbled to himself about how he was trying to help Sonny.
At the Salem PD, Leo stood by his innocence and scoffed at the word of a child claiming he saw the tooth fairy.
Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) pushed Leo to confess, but he just wanted a lawyer.
That lawyer turned out to be Sloan, who was Alex’s hookup from earlier.
Sloan acted like the cops had no real evidence to hold Leo and was eager to leave with him.
Meanwhile, Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) showed up at Gwen Rizczech’s (Emily O’Brien) motel room to discuss Leo.
Gwen couldn’t believe Leo killed Abigail and swore that she knew nothing despite flashbacks that indicated otherwise.
At the DiMera mansion, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) took Jada Hunter (Elia Hunter) down to the DiMera tunnels.
Once they searched the secret room, Jada and Chad were able to recover the silverware Leo left behind with his breakfast tray.
Chad assumed Gwen had told Leo about the hidden tunnel entrances, so he showed up at her motel room soon after.
That led to Chad hurling accusations, but Jack defended his daughter and left Gwen grateful.
Once furious Chad made it back to the Horton house, he squeezed a drinking glass so tight that it shattered and cut his hand.
After Orpheus (George DelHoyo) sent Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) flowers and a note apologizing for the past, Steve was on edge.
Although Steve wanted to permanently eliminate Orpheus, Kayla made him promise he wouldn’t kill him – at least for now.
Once Steve escorted Kayla to the hospital for her shift, they got an alert about their home security system.
Steve came home with his gun drawn and found Stephanie, who put her hands up and warned her dad not to shoot.
Back with Chad, he showed up at the hospital with his hand bloody and bandaged.
Kayla asked if Chad was all right, but he clearly wasn’t in more ways than one.
At the police station again, Jada felt confident the fork she recovered would point to Leo’s guilt.
Once the DNA results came back, they had enough to arrest Leo since he was confirmed to be at the scene of the crime.
Leo ultimately blurted out that he didn’t kill Abigail, but he said he knew who did and that he could prove it!
