Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Wednesday, August 24, teases that Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) and Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) will get stuck in a hostage crisis while John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) make a discovery. Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) will also panic over Stefan DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) freedom, so let’s talk about what’s ahead on DOOL.
Now that Orpheus (George DelHoyo) has arrived at the townhouse, he’ll pull a gun on Kayla and Marlena.
Days spoilers say Orpheus will insist they’re going to take a little trip, so he’ll force Marlena and Kayla into captivity elsewhere.
Next, Steve and John will get updates from Paulina Price-Carver (Jackée Harry), who apparently chose Stephanie Johnson’s (Abigail Klein) PR firm to possibly represent Abe Carver (James Reynolds) – assuming she can get him on board with a run for governor.
Paulina may admit she was doing this behind Abe’s back, which explains why she wanted things kept hush-hush.
At some point, Steve may get a bad feeling about leaving Kayla vulnerable – and John may worry Marlena could be at risk, too.
Sadly, Marlena and Kayla will be long gone by the time their husbands return for them.
Days spoilers say only a cryptic note will remain, but it won’t be hard for Steve and John to nail down that it’s from Orpheus.
While John and Steve make a kidnapping discovery, Li will seethe over Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) losing control of Stefan.
Dr. Rolf won’t think this is his fault, but panicked Li will mostly just care about how to fix it.
Li will be desperate for a solution since his romance with Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) will be over if Stefan finds her.
Stefan is already awfully close since he just showed up at the DiMera mansion – and Gabi just so happens to be inside.
Unfortunately, DOOL won’t make it that simple for “Stabi” to come back together. Stefan may pass out since he’s obviously pretty weak right now.
There’s even a chance Stefan will be drugged again if Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) stops his mansion entrance.
However, EJ is another option when it comes to who’ll find Stefan.
It’d be easy for EJ to use Stefan to his advantage if he joined the secret circle with Li and Dr. Rolf.
One way or another, Stefan won’t get the reunion of his dreams with Gabi – at least not yet.
Since Stefan’s memory manipulation is still to come, he’ll be programmed to love Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) instead of his own wife down the road.
