Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, February 2, reveals that Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) masqueraded as Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) for a betrayal while Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) and Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) faced a lawsuit threat. Let’s discuss all the Days drama.
First on Wednesday’s DOOL episode, Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) walked Allie to work and reassured her after she admitted she’d been distracted lately.
The conversation shifted to Henry Horton (Clyde and Nash Gunderson) and Tripp’s goals of being there for him.
Although Tripp wasn’t Henry’s true dad, he was pleased when Allie suggested Henry already thought of Tripp as one.
Afterward, Tripp wound up at the pub, where he filled Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) in on his plan to ask Allie to marry him.
Tripp was certain he wanted to spend the rest of his life taking care of Allie and Henry.
Roman wondered how Allie felt and was concerned about Tripp rushing into things. He pointed to Johnny and Chanel’s disastrous rushed marriage as proof.
However, Tripp promised Roman that he wasn’t Johnny and would do right by Allie. He felt confident in the trust he’d found in his relationship.
Once Allie met up with Chanel, TR Coates (William Christian) came over and introduced himself.
TR warned Chanel and Allie that they’d have to honor their movie role contracts or else he’d sue them.
TR made it clear that he’d win, but Chanel and Allie still weren’t willing to participate in the possession film.
After TR brought up meeting Chanel’s cousin, Chanel insisted Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) was actually her sister.
That news threw TR for a loop, but Chanel admitted she’d only found out recently herself.
Allie and Chanel were confused when TR suddenly rushed off and dropped all the lawsuit talk.
At the DiMera mansion, Chanel paid Johnny a visit to serve him with divorce papers. She made it clear that she married Johnny for love, but now he’d have to pay for breaking her heart.
Johnny wasn’t happy about Chanel taking him to the cleaners, but he soon turned his attention to Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus).
Gabi reassured a nervous Jake after receiving a text and heading off to meet with Johnny at his place.
Once Gabi arrived, Johnny basically acted like she was much too good for that “grease monkey.” Johnny also planted doubts about Jake muscling Gabi out of this whole takeover scheme.
Johnny ultimately agreed to offer up his shares along with EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feuerriegel), but he thought Gabi should be careful.
Gabi trusted Jake and told Johnny he wouldn’t regret this, but Johnny reveled in his devious plan once she left.
As for Jake, he stopped to see Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) at his new place.
Ben kept trying to turn the cross outside the door right-side up – only for it to point downward every time he saw it again.
Jake brought Ben up to speed on all the Johnny drama and how he didn’t trust him.
Jake saw an evil in Johnny and expressed concern over Johnny being one of those guys with nothing to lose.
Ben gave Jake a pep talk, so Jake tried to focus on the fact that he trusted Gabi.
Next on Wednesday’s Days episode, Johnny gleefully said he should go get “changed.” He apparently transformed into “Jake” while Gabi eavesdropped at the Kiriakis mansion.
“Jake” wanted a guarantee that he’d be DiMera’s new CEO, but he acted nonchalant when Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) suggested putting Gabi in charge of Titan may not be on the table.
Maggie wondered if that was a deal-breaker, so Gabi looked alarmed and hoped “Jake” would tell her it was.
Instead, “Jake” smiled and let Maggie know that it absolutely wasn’t!
At Lani’s apartment, she let Paulina in and tried to shut down her bio mom’s push for a Miami getaway.
Lani had plenty of excuses not to go, but Paulina ultimately won her over by acting like “Big Mama” aka Olivia Price (Marla Gibbs) was lonely.
As long as they took Chanel with them and Lani could work it out with her job, Lani decided she was on board.
Paulina took off and tracked Chanel down to offer updates on their Miami trip plans.
That left Lani to pack, but she was surprised by a knock at the door.
When Lani opened it, TR was standing there – just waiting to spill what he’d put together about their connection!
