Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, July 13, reveals that Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) was devastated after Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) refused marriage, but Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) saved the bride from a blunder.
At the church on Wednesday’s DOOL episode, Chad insisted that he could back up everything he was saying about Lucas.
After Chad explained how he knew Lucas framed EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) for kidnapping, Lucas admitted it and said he wasn’t sorry about it.
Sami decided that Lucas and EJ had been battling it out for years, so the framing part wasn’t a big deal to her.
Since Sami still didn’t believe Lucas was capable of kidnapping her, she wanted Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) to pronounce them husband and wife.
However, Chad stood his ground and eventually got Lucas to confess to the abduction.
Lucas acted like he simply played dirty for love, but Sami was furious as she recounted being in that tiny room – wondering if this would be the day she got killed.
Sami felt like Lucas only wanted to punish her for loving EJ, but she warned that it was all for nothing and walked out on him.
That left Chad to explain his accusations to the guests regarding Abigail’s murder.
After the failed wedding, Lucas headed to the police station along with Chad, Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) and Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman).
Chad sent Johnny outside to wait for Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) and advised Kate to prepare Roman for what was next.
Soon after, Roman found Kate at the pub – looking ready to spill the beans about what she knew and how long she’d known it.
Back with Chad, he cornered Lucas in the interrogation room to demand answers about Abigail’s murder.
Chad pointed out the gash on Lucas’ hand and still seemed convinced that he killed Abigail to keep her quiet.
Next on Wednesday’s Days episode, Sami felt like a fool as she cried to Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall).
Marlena reassured Sami that this was Lucas’ fault and watched as her daughter threw her rings across the room.
After Sami took off, Marlena checked in with Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) and Will Horton (Chandler Massey).
Allie found the rings Sami left behind and hugged Will since all of this was so overwhelming.
At the DiMera mansion, Belle joined EJ for a drink and decided that misery loves company.
EJ and Belle opened up to each other before things took a passionate turn.
That led to EJ landing in bed with Belle – just before Sami showed up at the door wanting to talk to her ex.
Belle scrambled to cover herself and hid while EJ answered the door in his underwear.
Once Sami walked in on Wednesday’s Days episode, she found a bra on the floor and picked it up.
Sami asked who it belonged to as EJ stood there looking uncomfortable.
