Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, June 15, reveals that Gabi Hernandez DiMera vowed to make Abigail DiMera’s (Marci Miller) killer pay – and Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) asked if Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) was guilty. Here’s how Wednesday’s DOOL drama went down.
In a room at the Salem Inn, Gabi woke up as Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) was wrapping up a phone conversation about a press release.
Before Li could fill Gabi in on Abigail’s death, she saw it in a news alert on her phone.
Gabi got emotional after Li confirmed it was true and explained her complicated history with Abigail.
Since they were friends once upon a time, Li didn’t think Abigail would begrudge Gabi’s tears. After Li assured Gabi that he was here for the good and the bad, he pulled her into a kiss.
Outside the pub, Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) overheard Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) on the phone and realized something happened to Abigail.
Steve filled Jake in, so Jake decided to pay Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) a visit and offer his condolences.
Meanwhile, Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) told Jennifer Deveraux (Cady McClain) that Abigail’s death was all his fault since he should’ve protected her while her mom was in Boston.
Jennifer insisted Lucas couldn’t have known this would happen as they comforted each other.
At the DiMera mansion, Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) lied that she didn’t tell Lucas about Abigail knowing his secret, but she argued that it wouldn’t matter anyway.
Kate insisted Lucas wouldn’t hurt Abigail, so Chad admitted he was grasping at straws and was sorry for lashing out.
Later, Jake stopped by and talked to Chad about Abigail’s kindness when she came back from Florida.
Abigail barely knew Jake, but she insisted on letting him borrow a book and made an effort to reach out.
Chad cried about his mistakes and reflected on how he’d lost Abigail forever, so Jake tried to offer comfort.
On Jake’s way out, he bumped into Gabi and traded barbs.
Gabi then approached Chad to offer her condolences and insist they were going to catch the “son of a bitch” responsible so they could make them pay!
Back with Kate, she found Lucas at the pub and brought him up to speed on her tense conversation with Chad.
Although Kate covered for Lucas, she was alarmed to learn he fell off the wagon and couldn’t remember last night.
Lucas acknowledged the cut on his hand and honestly wasn’t sure whether he could’ve killed Abigail.
At Statesville on Wednesday’s Days episode, Gwen admitted to Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) that she already heard about Abigail’s death.
After Gwen mentioned Abigail’s last visit sealing their fates forever, she insisted they’d never patch things up now.
Gwen told an altered version of the birthday gift story and claimed she dropped Jack’s mug herself.
Now it was shattered beyond repair – just like Gwen’s relationship with Abigail. Jack was an emotional wreck, so Gwen teared up as well and said she was so sorry for what he was going through.
Next on Wednesday’s Days episode, Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) let Ava know his Seattle plans and got her blessing.
Ava also found out about Abigail’s murder and seemed curious about whether there were any suspects yet.
While Tripp and Steve shared a goodbye meal, they shared a toast. Steve pushed Tripp to come home soon, so Tripp promised he would.
As for Ava, she paid Gwen a prison visit to address Abigail’s murder and flat-out asked if Gwen did it.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Gwen will have to answer some difficult questions soon, so stick with DOOL.
