Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, June 8, reveals that Leo Stark’s (Greg Rikaart) tooth fairy lie fooled Thomas DiMera (Cary Christopher) while Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) decided to keep Chad DiMera’s (Billy Flynn) big secret. Here’s how things played out on Days.
At the DiMera mansion on Wednesday’s DOOL episode, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) dreamed he was canoodling in bed with Belle Brady (Martha Madison) after lovemaking. Belle woke EJ as she appeared in the doorway hoping Abigail might have some clothes she could borrow.
EJ offered to lend Belle a robe while they sent for the rest of her things, but she didn’t want to impose. In fact, Belle thought she should get a room at the Salem Inn, but EJ gave her a pep talk and wanted the DiMera mansion to be her oasis.
Next on Wednesday’s Days episode, Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) stopped by to invite Marlena Evans (Deidre Hell) to come say goodbye to Will Horton (Chandler Massey) before he headed back to Arizona.
After Kate heard about Belle staying at the DiMera mansion, she seemed intrigued by how close Belle and EJ were getting.
At the pub, Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) still thought certain things didn’t add up about the kidnapping and the case against EJ. Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) changed the subject since he planned to propose to Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) and wanted Roman’s blessing.
After Roman gave his approval, Marlena and Kate showed up. Kate pulled Lucas aside to give him a nudge toward confessing to Sami himself, but he knew his relationship wouldn’t survive that.
In the DiMera mansion living room, Abigail had a solid lead and was closing in on the kidnapper truth. Chad finally admitted that it was Lucas before confessing his own role in covering it up and framing EJ.
Although Chad was apologetic for just now coming clean, he hoped Abigail was willing to keep this between them. Suddenly, EJ and Belle showed up curious about what Chad wanted to keep quiet.
Abigail covered by announcing that they were trying for another baby, so that was good news as far as EJ and Belle were concerned.
Once Abigail was alone with Chad again, he was relieved that she hadn’t blabbed. Abigail got that it was complicated and didn’t want Chad to blow up his relationship with EJ again – nor did Abigail wanted to send Lucas to prison.
Chad realized he should’ve known that Abigail would understand, and she confirmed that they were a team.
In the DiMera secret room, Thomas found Leo hiding out. Leo claimed to be the tooth fairy and wanted to know he could count on Thomas to keep his secret. Thomas agreed to bring Leo a tray of breakfast and some orange juice to prove his loyalty.
After Thomas took the tray back down, Abigail realized her young son had been in the DiMera tunnels and reminded him those were off-limits. When Abigail pushed Thomas to tell her who else was down there, he confessed it was the tooth fairy.
Over with Sonny Kiriakis (Zach Tinker), he dreamed Leo was in bed with Will and woke up startled. Will reassured Sonny as they pondered what victims Leo would target next.
Once Will and Sonny shared some passionate moments, they headed to the pub for Will’s “hi and goodbye” gathering – though Will vowed to be back soon.
As for Chad, he met up with Kate in the town square and admitted Abigail was now in the loop on Lucas’ kidnapping guilt.
Back with EJ, he crossed paths with Belle fresh out of the shower. Belle looked flustered at the sight of EJ wearing only a towel right in front of her.
