Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Wednesday, March 16 Recap – Sarah Restrained in Mental Ward – Xander Blames Careless Abigail

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, March 16, reveals that Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) was restrained in the mental ward while Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) blamed careless Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) for the syringe that led to Sarah’s issues.

At the DiMera mansion, Anna DiMera (Leann Hunley) was upset over sleeping in separate bedrooms, but Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) acted like it beat the alternative of causing another Sarah meltdown.

Sarah strolled in and mentioned someone being tied up – obviously referring to Belle Brady (Martha Madison).

Tony and Anna suggested Sarah might be hallucinating, but Sarah was certain that was all Anna’s influence.

Sarah eventually whipped out a contract for the divorce attorney she had in mind and wanted Tony to sign on the dotted line.

Meanwhile, Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) returned home from a trip and left a voicemail for Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) about the surprise shareholder meeting, which ended with Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) on the DiMera board instead of Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) as planned.

Maggie was looking for answers, but she hung up and turned her attention to Xander’s arrival.

Xander delivered the shocking impersonation story and revealed that the real Sarah was finally back from a deserted island.

Unfortunately, Xander also had to reveal Sarah’s confused mental state and all the Renee DuMonde (Philece Sampler) diary drama.

Xander pushed Maggie to sign some papers and force Sarah to get treatment at the hospital.

However, Maggie was reluctant to do this against Sarah’s will and went to the DiMera mansion to assess Sarah’s mental state for herself.

When Maggie arrived, “Renee” was amazed over how old she looked compared to when she last saw her – though she quickly apologized for being rude.

After “Renee” gushed over her love for Tony, Maggie decided she’d seen enough and signed the necessary paperwork.

Soon after, Sarah was hauled off to the hospital’s mental ward and restrained there.

Sarah felt Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) was ungrateful since she saved everyone from drugged chicken on the island.

Sarah also called Maggie a “bitch” and insisted her name was Renee.

Sarah yelled that she hated Maggie, so that left this mom distraught over her daughter’s medical crisis and outrage.

Back at the DiMera mansion on Wednesday’s DOOL episode, Tony chewed Anna out for not having any compassion for “poor Sarah” and bailed on having lunch together.

In the town square, Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) accused Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) of being Ava Vitali’s (Tamara Braun) accomplice and wasn’t buying Gwen’s repeated denials.

Gwen acted like it was fine now that Sarah was back anyway, but Abigail ranted about Sarah losing months of her life.

That led to Gwen reminding Abigail that she was the one who left the syringe behind for Sarah to get drugged with.

Xander showed up and defended Gwen since Abigail had no evidence of wrongdoing.

Xander also didn’t think Abigail should be casting stones considering she was to blame for leaving a dangerous drug around.

Once Xander was alone with Gwen, she expressed her gratitude.

Xander was glad to stand up for Gwen and assured her of his love, but he still seemed to feel a pull to Sarah.

In TR Coates’ (William Christian) hotel room on Wednesday’s Days episode, he said he had an offer that Beth Howard (Donielle Artese) couldn’t refuse.

TR wanted to give Beth the part of Celeste Perrault (Tanya Boyd) in the possession movie and played up how he’d make her a star.

Beth was alarmed after realizing Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) was the cop who got shot and suspected he’d been silenced.

TR insisted it was a coincidence and pressured Beth to accept his offer. He dropped hints about it not working out well for Beth if she didn’t.

Beth felt like Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) deserved to know the truth about her biological father, but she ultimately took TR’s deal.

At the hospital on Wednesday’s Days episode, Abe Carver (James Reynolds) got updates from Lani on all the shooting chaos.

Abe felt that Lani saved Eli’s life, but Lani worried that maybe she didn’t.

Abe comforted Lani as she opened up about her fear of losing Eli.

They were anxious as they awaited the latest news – and moments later, Kayla appeared and revealed that Eli was out of surgery.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say Eli has more recovery struggles ahead of him, so keep watching DOOL!
