Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, March 30, teases that Belle Brady (Martha Madison) confessed to framing EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) while Nancy Wesley (Patrika Darbo) delivered an ultimatum to save Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) job.
In prison on Wednesday’s Days episode, EJ fumed over a threatening note he found in his magazine.
EJ called Clyde Weston (James Read) to complain about Orpheus (George DelHoyo) and made it clear that he had menacing friends of his own.
Clyde also had to deal with Ben Weston’s (Robert Scott Wilson) pestering about getting a job.
When Ben wondered who was on the phone, Clyde managed to cover and suggested going out for breakfast.
At the pub, Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) wasn’t happy to see Clyde, but Clyde pointed out there was a help wanted sign in the window for a short-order cook.
Clyde mentioned having plenty of kitchen experience, but Roman reminded Clyde that he tried to blow up the whole town.
Clyde argued that he did his time, but he knew he’d be sent back to Statesville if he couldn’t find a job.
Clyde asked Roman if that was fair before Ben pulled Roman aside to make apologies for his father.
Afterward, Roman ended up calling Statesville for kitchen references before hiring Clyde for the short-order cook position.
That way, Roman could keep a close eye on Clyde.
Since Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) was impatient over the planted evidence situation, Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) tried to move things alone.
Kate met with Belle to ask if she could look up her DiMera severance package details on her laptop.
Belle agreed and spotted the file that Chad placed on her computer.
Belle assumed it originated with her and was horrified over finding the fake paper trail that framed EJ for kidnapping payments.
At Statesville, Chad visited EJ and acknowledged that the devil was the one behind the Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) kiss deception.
Although Chad launched a speech about things he needed to atone for, Belle arrived before Chad could confess to helping with the setup.
Belle took responsibility for creating the file that helped frame EJ and believed she did it while possessed. She said she had another attorney working on EJ’s appeal and was hopeful about him getting out soon.
Belle was sorry for the trouble she’d caused, but EJ acted like it was the devil’s doing and didn’t blame her.
After Belle spotted the threatening note from earlier, EJ downplayed it. Belle was focused on getting EJ out where he would be safe, but EJ seemed uneasy.
After Chad called Kate to let her know the plan worked, Kate headed into the pub.
Kate witnessed Clyde and Roman shaking on their deal, so she obviously didn’t look happy about what was going on.
At the hospital on Wednesday’s Days episode, Craig Wesley (Kevin Spirtas) seemed a little too gleeful about firing Marlena.
Marlena bickered with Craig before Nancy showed up and made disparaging comments about Craig’s boyfriend.
Craig admitted that Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) was his fiancée now, so Nancy reeled over the engagement news and needed her therapist more than ever.
When Nancy learned that Marlena had just been fired, she pointed out that she could drag out the divorce and prevent Craig’s new marriage.
Nancy made it clear that if Craig wanted a speedy divorce, then Marlena needed to keep her job.
Later, Marlena told Nancy that she didn’t have to do that, but Nancy refused to let Craig ruin Marlena’s life, too.
At the townhouse, Leo shocked Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) and Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) by barging in while they were still naked under the covers.
Leo admitted that John Black (Drake Hogestyn) let him in and ranted about the recent trap before dropping the engagement bomb.
Leo assured Chloe that it was Craig’s idea. He vowed to be a good stepdad and thought it was best to bury the hatchet for Craig’s sake.
Once Leo was gone, Chloe muttered about how she’d like to bury the hatchet in Leo’s crotch!
Leo then met back up with Craig and confessed he already spilled the engagement news to Chloe as well as Brady.
Craig acted like Chloe knew she had to accept their relationship and learned Nancy had just signed the divorce papers – though Craig admitted there was one catch.
At the hospital, TR Coates (William Christian) assured Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) that he was praying for Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) night and day.
Lani was appreciative of TR’s support and praised him for all the ways he was trying to prove himself.
This whole ordeal with Eli helped Lani realize how important forgiveness was in an unpredictable world.
TR was so glad to have this chance with Lani and urged her to tell comatose Eli that he was praying for him.
Of course, DOOL fans know TR is responsible for Eli’s awful predicament, so that secret will have to come out down the road.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say TR will continue to make risky moves that may backfire eventually.
