Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Wednesday, October 12 Recap – Li Blackmails EJ – Stefan Can’t Be Co-CEO – Stephanie Stalls Sloan

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, October 12, reveals that Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) blackmailed EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) before Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) learned he couldn’t be co-CEO. Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) also stalled Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty), so here’s how all the DOOL action played out.

At DiMera Enterprises, EJ and Stefan planned to take out the trash once they were co-CEOs.

That meant getting rid of both Gabi Hernandez-DiMera (Camila Banus) and Li, but Li spoke with EJ privately to deliver a threat.

If EJ tried to have Li fired and removed from the board, then Li vowed to make Stefan flip on him so fast it’d make his head spin.

Li explained how he funded Dr. Wilhelm Rolf’s (Richard Wharton) research and was the reason Stefan had been brainwashed.

Since Li had that brainwashing done, he assured EJ that he could have it undone.

Li claimed he was willing to dump Gabi to retain his position at DiMera Enterprises if need be, so EJ had no choice but to cave in.

Meanwhile, Gabi could tell that Stefan’s memory was being triggered.

After Gabi pushed Stefan to admit it, she also wanted to know where Dr. Rolf was so she could fix this somehow.

Stefan blew up at Gabi and eventually pointed out she was engaged to another man. However, Gabi put her hand on Stefan’s heart and insisted it was pounding.

Moments later, Li returned with EJ and revealed that they’d come to an understanding ahead of the shareholders’ vote.

In private, Li said his father wouldn’t allow him to be fired, but Gabi realized she was still out.

Li called this a temporary setback, but Gabi felt like she’d lost everything except Li and didn’t know what she’d do without him.

At the DiMera mansion, Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace) blew past Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and made her way into the living room.

Johnny threatened to call security unless Wendy told him who she was, so they finally exchanged introductions.

Wendy was looking for Stefan, but she found out he’d just left and didn’t have time to stick around.

After Wendy said she’d be back and headed for the door, Johnny sarcastically muttered that he couldn’t wait.

Next on Wednesday’s Days episode, Wendy tried to hack into Li’s email through the DiMera server and had no luck.

Johnny found Wendy in the town square on his jog and learned she was trying to get transferred to DiMera headquarters from the Fairbanks office.

Wendy needed dirt to get what she wanted and confessed she was concerned about her brother, too.

Johnny pointed out that Dr. Rolf might’ve brainwashed Stefan, so they considered whether Li, EJ or both might’ve been to blame for that.

Since both Johnny and Wendy wanted the truth, he suggested teaming up. Wendy was a bit wary, but she eventually decided she was on board.

Back at the DiMera mansion on Wednesday’s Days episode, Stefan suggested they should toast to being co-CEOs.

EJ admitted there’d been a slight change of plans since Li’s father wouldn’t allow him to be ousted.

Mr. Wei Shin (Clyde Kusatsu) also had concerns about Stefan’s cognitive abilities since he’d been comatose for four years.

EJ revealed that he’d be CEO with Li as his number two, so Stefan complained about being left out in the cold.

Nevertheless, EJ assured Stefan that he’d have a high-level executive position until he could get rid of Li another way.

Although EJ vowed to make Stefan his co-CEO in the future, Stefan still wasn’t happy about how all this worked out.

At the Johnson residence, Stephanie and Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) faced Alex Kiriakis’ (Robert Scott Wilson) wrath for sleeping together, but they convinced him they hadn’t.

Although Alex seemed a bit embarrassed for the false accusation, he also knew something was going on between them.

Alex felt it was hypocritical for Stephanie to hide behind a sexual harassment handbook if she just wasn’t attracted to him.

Chad acted like Stephanie had made that clear to Alex repeatedly, so Alex decided he could be a “big boy” and accept that she was into someone else.

Afterward, Stephanie felt guilty since she really had almost slept with Chad and hadn’t given Alex the whole story.

Chad saw no reason for Stephanie to feel guilty unless she actually had feelings for Alex, but she dodged the topic and felt they should focus on work.

At Paulina Price’s (Jackée Harry) campaign headquarters, she showed Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) the incriminating file and explained the blackmail situation.

Chanel cried over her stupid college mistake and worried it could cost Paulina her campaign.

Paulina was far more worried about Chanel, but she assured her daughter that everything was under control.

Sloan slithered in to find out if Paulina had made any decisions about the settlement offer, so they traded threats before Paulina sent her off to see Stephanie.

Once Sloan was gone, Paulina decided she’d just drop out of the race.

Chanel wouldn’t allow that, especially since Sloan’s client still had this info and could release it no matter what.

Paulina refused to let Chanel make a payment using Sweet Bits money and felt that Stephanie could handle this along with Chad.

After Paulina vowed to deal with whoever dug this up, she assured Chanel that she’d never let her children down again.

Back with Stephanie, she opened the door to Sloan and acted like they’d need a chance to get the funds together.

Sloan said Stephanie was making the right call and suggested they would talk soon.

After Sloan left, Stephanie admitted to Chad that she was stalling to buy them some time to strategize.

Since Chanel’s future was on the line, Stephanie didn’t want to mess this up.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say Chanel has more trouble headed her way, so stay tuned to DOOL.
