Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for the week of January 17-21 tease that Sarah Horton’s (Linsey Godfrey) return will rock Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) while Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) and Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) enjoy a hot connection. EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) will also have a horrible losing strategy, so here’s what DOOL fans can expect.
For starters, total mayhem will break out in the courtroom. After EJ threatens to kill Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) over his bogus testimony, Belle Brady (Martha Madison) will try to regain control of the situation.
Although Belle won’t think it’s a good idea, EJ will insist on taking the stand and setting the record straight. That could lead to trouble, especially since possessed Johnny wants EJ to crash and burn in court.
Speaking of Johnny, he’ll do plenty of flirting with Gabi and will perhaps gloat over the shares he stands to gain if EJ gets convicted.
Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) will worry that Gabi’s taking too big of a gamble, but she’ll get closer to Johnny and share some steamy moments with him to seal the deal.
As for Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens), she’ll open up to Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) about her feelings for Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) and how complicated things have become.
Paulina may admit she already knows Chanel and Allie hooked up since she witnessed them in action!
Next, Nancy Wesley (Patrika Darbo) will rattle off a list of reasons why she thinks her husband and Chloe Lane’s (Nadia Bjorlin) father is having an affair.
Nancy will accuse Craig Wesley (Kevin Spirtas) of cheating, so Chloe and Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) will have to decide if they agree.
Fortunately, Craig will soon show up in Salem and share his version of events. He’ll know this looks bad, but there’s a good chance that things aren’t exactly as they seem.
Craig is obviously keeping secrets that need some clarification, so he’ll work to make Nancy, Chloe and Brady understand.
Meanwhile, Gwen Rizczech’s (Emily O’Brien) fury will erupt over Abigail DiMera’s (Marci Miller) new lead on Sarah.
Xander will help Abigail grill the DiMera pilot and try to pry some answers about where he might’ve taken Sarah.
While Abigail and Xander keep working to track
Sarah down, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) will find Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) at the Italian convent. Days spoilers say Steve will have a showdown with Kristen while Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) lands in a tricky situation of her own.
Since Sarah is stuck on a deserted island and Kristen will be busy facing off with Steve, who will be the familiar face that arrives to see Gwen back in Salem?
Xander will reel over Sarah’s return, but who will that be with the real Sarah gone and Kristen otherwise engaged?
It makes sense that Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) will show up to see Gwen wearing Kristen’s old Sarah mask and then try to throw Xander off the trail.
Ava will want to help Gwen, who still has a chance at living happily ever after with Xander – unlike Ava, who hates Rafe Hernandez’s (Galen Gering) guts now.
Of course, if Ava wears a Sarah mask, it’s reasonable to assume she might pose as Nicole while wearing one, too.
Days spoilers say Ava will mess with Rafe’s head, so donning a Nicole mask and throwing herself at him would be a good way to achieve that.
Back with Abigail, she’ll gain a deeper understanding of the Sarah situation through a conversation with Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow).
It’ll help Abigail understand that Kristen must’ve impersonated Sarah and dropped her on the DiMera deserted island.
That’s why Abigail may accuse “Sarah” of not being the real deal.
Abigail may try to rip off the mask, but she could change her tune if Steve calls with updates on Kristen’s capture or drags her into the Salem PD.
Abigail might assume it’s the real Sarah after all without knowing about Ava’s motive to help Gwen.
In other words, Abigail may be less suspicious once both Sarah and Kristen are accounted for – allowing Gwen to keep her future with Xander intact for now.
