Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) will pose as a priest at Statesville, where he’ll dupe the warden (Cassandra Relynn) for Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) info. Now that Xander and Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) are convinced that Gwen is guilty, they’ll continue taking steps to try and prove it.
Of course, the biggest problem here involves Gwen’s whereabouts the night Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) was killed.
Gwen was supposedly locked up tight in prison at the time of the murder, so that gives her a rock-solid alibi as far as the cops are concerned.
However, DOOL fans know it’s pretty easy for sneaky characters to escape from Statesville.
That’s exactly what Gwen did when she called in a favor from Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) and then returned after missing bed check.
During the week of August 8-12, Days spoilers say Xander and Sarah will team up on an undercover mission.
Sarah will have her own crucial part to play, but let’s focus on Xander for a moment.
It turns out Xander will don a disguise and become a fake priest for this prison visit.
Xander will pretend he’s a man of the cloth and speak to the warden, so that’ll give him a chance to snoop for Gwen-related information.
There are two critical pieces of info that Xander and Sarah might get out of this mission.
That missed bed check on the night of Abigail’s demise may be one of them.
Another one could involve Ava’s visits to Gwen. There might even be a record of Gwen calling Ava shortly before Abigail was killed.
That may leave Xander and Sarah convinced that Gwen called Ava for escape help, murdered Abigail and then snuck back in Statesville.
All of that’s true except for the murder part since we highly doubt Days will make Gwen the true killer.
That’d be way too easy and wouldn’t fit with the shocking twists that DOOL tends to offer when there’s a whodunit.
Even so, Gwen isn’t telling the truth about her whereabouts and actions that night, so Sarah and Xander still need to expose her.
It’ll be fun watching Xander play priest to take Gwen down!
