Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) may score Dr. Wilhelm Rolf’s (William Utay) real antidote for Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey). This could offer one last chance to bring back true love, so Xander will surely want to take advantage of it. Let’s talk about this tricky DOOL situation.
Now that Xander knows Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) switched the antidote for another dose of the mind-altering drug, he also knows why it didn’t work.
Xander argued that Gwen might as well have put a bullet through Sarah’s brain, but that sounds a little extreme!
That implies there’s no hope for Sarah, but shouldn’t there be now that Xander’s aware of the truth?
Although Sarah indeed got worse due to the second mind-altering drug dose, she still hasn’t received any antidote dose at all.
Days spoilers say Xander may ultimately want to rectify that.
It seems like it’d at least be worth a try to inject Sarah with the right stuff.
Even if it wasn’t a total success, it might improve Sarah beyond this stage of thinking she’s a little girl.
Gwen presumably got rid of the syringe containing the antidote that Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) acquired from Dr. Rolf.
However, Days spoilers suggest Dr. Rolf might have other doses – and if not, why couldn’t he just whip up another antidote batch?
Dr. Rolf may be in prison, but the warden could probably let him have access to a lab to save Sarah.
Maybe Dr. Rolf could even use this to bargain his way out of prison completely, but the point is Sarah could perhaps still benefit from one or more antidote doses.
This could be the treatment Sarah needs to legitimately get better.
Unfortunately, there could be another hurdle if Xander scores the antidote and takes it to Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) at the Florida clinic.
Maggie was already wary of giving Sarah some unknown serum before she got the wrong drug that led to her mental setback.
Although Xander will explain Gwen’s horrible switch, Maggie may hesitate to give Sarah another injection of any kind.
For all Maggie knows, the next one could leave Sarah in a vegetative state!
Xander may contend that things will be different this time with the right syringe, but Maggie might point out that they can’t be sure.
Are they willing to risk brain death for Sarah if Dr. Rolf’s real antidote backfires?
Xander may be desperate enough to take that risk, but it’ll be harder for Maggie based on how she’s acted so far.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Xander and Sarah could still have a future together, but it may require Maggie’s cooperation!
