In tonight’s East New York episode, a young woman who appears intoxicated is dancing at a party when she falls off of a small half way onto the DJs table. People step back while one man helps. Meanwhile, Brandy gets called in early. later, Tommy arrives to look over a crime scene.
Regina and Brandy arrive at the same scene. Its the location of the party the woman was at. Four people have been found dead. Regina is faced with dealing with thee anger father of the woman who fell on the DJs table. Her name is Gwen and she is alive and well. He promises to get his lawyer involved after telling Regina he has connections to the police. She doesn’t care. She needs to do her job.
Stan’s wife is adamant she doesn’t need to go to the dentist at breakfast. He talks her into it before he leaves for work. Meanwhile, John and Regina work together on her upcoming meeting with superiors.
Tommy questions Gwen about the night club and what happened that night. She doesn’t say much. They get video from her phone. Regina notices a well known drug dealer in the video. She has been chasing him for a long time but this time she is going to take him down.
Regina meets with her chiefs about her progress as Deputy Inspector. She is criticized for her failure to make particular arrests when it comes to people selling alcohol, cigarettes and more. The meeting becomes heated. John comes to Regina’s rescue. She gets angry about this. After, Stan tells Regina that the music in the video mentions places, clubs to get drugs after the night club party.
Marvin asks Andre about where he should take Tameeka to dinner. The two talk while they scope out the location of one of the drug dealing locations mentioned. They take in two men, one who prevented told Regina he was straight and the DJ. They are questioned about the dealer Regina is out to get.
Regina steps into one of the interrogation rooms. She has learned that one of them are undercover and that there is a bigger investigation going on here. The man leading it doesn’t want Regina to pursue any of this but she doesn’t care. The man undercover tells her he really cannot do much. Its not his call but maybe they can team up.
Regina goes to John about pursuing the case. He gives her the go ahead. She will be careful. Meanwhile, Marvin catches Andre and Brandy kissing.
Regina makes plans with the undercover agent. She warns him of the risks to himself and his job. He is ready. Later, inside a warehouse, the undercover is suspected of being a cop by one man while the DJ he is working with makes jokes that there is no way. Regina and the team come in right after and get their guy.
After, Regina has to listen to the undercover agent’s superior. He is upset because she used his asset. Regina stands her ground. She needed to keep her city safe. She shows up late to her next meeting with the chiefs. She is then attacked by one of the chiefs again. He cannot say too much when she states the amount of fentanyl she took off thee streets. They commend her.
Tommy meets with a chef after work to discuss a mentorship program with a former criminal. The gang shows up there for a drink. Andre and Brandy try to keep their distance. Stan’s wife shows up. She has managed to go outside and she has come to tell him she lied and didn’t go to the dentist. He doesn’t care, he loves her.
The undercover agent shows his interest in Regina. She smiles but doesn’t turn him down.
