In tonights FBI Most Wanted episode, Daniel Osterholm has been stealing from his clients at a private investment firm for years. He was told about a client demanding an audit and threatening to enlist the help of the SEC. However, he disappeared around the same time that both his mother and daughter were murdered. Everyone assumed it was Daniel behind it and that he went on the run soon after.

LaCroix’s team was brought in. They investigated it as a family annihilator situation and the only person that wasn’t harmed was Daniel’s son Craig. Craig goes to college while living at home. He wasn’t home during the murders. He returned home to find the bodies and he was the one to call it in. The local police also couldn’t be much because they were either related to the victims or were friends with Daniel.

It was a small town. Everyone knew Daniel. Everyone liked him. He was a likeable guy even if he did embezzle millions from his firm and it was in fact millions. They did an audit after he failed to come in. They learned he’s been stealing each and every client at the firm. Not just one.

The team also learned that Daniel wasn’t their killer because they later found him murdered and stuffed in the trunk of his car. He couldn’t have done that to himself. Therefore, the killer or killers were still out there. The team began looking for the shooter. They first investigated Daniel’s murder for the biggest clues and they did so by checking into everyone he was in contact with.

Daniel went straight from the office to his home address on the night of the murders. He was there around nine to nine-thirty and his family’s time of death was actually put around six o’ clock. It was then clear that Daniel had nothing to do with what happened to his family. But he was targeted by the same man who killed his family and he wasn’t alone. There was still Craig. Craig was staying with family during this trying time and the same man that killed his family had broken into the house with the gun. He tied up Craig’s aunt. He dragged Craig out of the building and so the family dying like they did had nothing to do with Daniel or his crimes.

It was all about Craig. The Unsub even said as much. He bragged about the murders to Craig and he took Craig with him after he ran. The aunt was later found so she told the team what happened. The team went looking for Craig and to do that they needed to know why he was targeted. Why would someone harm his family to hurt him? The team looked into Craig. He was MeToo at the campus. He apparently uses and abuses women and so he stopped dating the college girls once they all agreed not to date him and he went after weaker fish. Craig began dating the girl from the wrong side of his small town.

Her name was Brittany Walsh. Craig abused her, but she never wanted to press charges against him and so he became the natural suspect after she disappeared. She disappeared right after taking a trip with Craig. The sheriff was asked to investigate it. Only he was related to Craig. He knew his family and thought the guy was a good kid. He failed to take into account that Craig was the last person to see Brittany alive. Or that Craig has a history of abuse. Or that Craig had taken her to a secluded cabin and unfortunately that cabin was never checked. The team went there looking for evidence and they found Craig being held hostage.

Craig had apparently told Brittany’s father where her body was. He hadn’t even tried to hide it. He put her in the freezer in the garage and no one ever checked out. The irate father would probably have killed Craig next but he was just so glad at finally finding his daughter that he didn’t pull the trigger.

He instead turned himself in when LaCroix’s team showed up. The man had wanted justice for his daughter and while he will now go to jail – the team also had evidence to put Craig there as well. Both men were arrested. They will both be facing charges. And to end the night on a good note – LaCroix was finally looking at his empty nester syndrome in a positive light. It meant he could spend more time with Sarah.

THE END!
