In tonight’s FBI episode, A woman came running into a bar demanding help. She ran into a waitress and the waitress locked the door after helping this woman inside. The waitress also went to go call for help, but as she was doing so, she heard a crash as if someone was breaking in and she chose to hide rather than help the woman who had asked her for help.
Not that it stopped her from peeking around the corner. The waitress later saw a man with a woman over his shoulder. He was carrying her out. He managed to abduct the woman he was after. He even got away. The waitress did end up calling for help and the police cordoned off the area. And it wasn’t long before they put a name to the face.
The FBI got called because abductions were their area. It also helped that the FBI has a lot more resources. They were able to figure out the missing woman was Violet Kent. Kent worked with the Peace Corps up until recently. She didn’t come from money nor she did have a lot in the bank. She wasn’t kidnapped for money. But Kent was an attractive young woman.
She could have been taken by someone who became obsessed with her and so they did look into her life. They found out she went to a club on the night she died. She ran into a fitness friend that was there and this friend has been asking her out for months with Kent turning him down.
The FBI grabbed a hold of this friend. Bobby Gannon was his name. he was heading upstate and he has a lot of scratches on his face. He admitted that he did come onto Kent on the night she went missing, but that it didn’t go anywhere and that she was so drunk that she pushed him away. Hence the scratches. Gannon did give her a fitbit once.
He said she wore it everywhere and that she had it on the night they ran into each other. The FBI followed up this lead. They were able to track Kent’s Fitbit till it led to her body. Kent’s remains were found dumped at a construction site. She had been raped and strangled.
They found DNA on the body. They ran it and it matched the rape and murders of at lest three other women across several states. Their killer was a serial killer. His window between the women were getting shorter and shorter. The killer was getting bolder.
The killer was someone very strong because they managed to strangle their victims with only one hand. To break the thyroid with just one hand, this person had to be strong. This person also was vindictive. They beat up the girls and so they enjoyed inflicting pain on others. The FBI looked into everyone who was questioned in the other crimes. And one person stood out.
His name is Dwight Maddux. He was in the same city as each of the murders when it went down and yet he wasn’t their killer. He had an alibi for Kent’s murder. He also said he traveled to those cities for work. He was a writer and he was covering MMA fights. There was a big fight in each city. Maddux was also gay. He wasn’t the killer. The killer was someone also traveling for the fights. The FBI looked into them and they found Eduardo Silva. Eduardo’s brother Andres was a major MMA fighter. He was the one with fights in each city of the murder. And Eduardo was a member of his brother’s entourage.
The entourage consisted of three men including Eduardo. Eduardo was the one who handled the equipment and his knots matched the knots used to tie up Kent. The team went looking for this man. He wasn’t with his brother and the rest of the crew having a party in the hotel room. So, one of Andreas’s people had told them that Eduardo took a rental car. This person had been the publicist for Andreas. She asked the FBI why they were really looking for Eduardo. They told her he might have done something to someone and so the woman said that Eduardo drove her home the other night.
Only, he didn’t leave after he dropped her off. He stayed for hours pacing outside of her temporary apartment until eventually he left and so the FBI offered to put someone on her detail, but she turned down the offer. She said she was looking for a reason to head back home and that they gave her one. Her name was Molly. Molly went home. The FBI later found Eduardo. He was cleaning out the car and so they stopped him. Which was a good thing because they found evidence. The car had a piece of Kent’s dress still inside. The FBI arrested Eduardo. He claimed he was at a practice ring with his brother preparing for his brother’s big fight.
The manager saw them go in. The FBI then started to look at who else in the entourage could have used the car and be guilty. They went into the hotel room with everyone out. They looked for evidence and they found a bloody shirt. They also broke a vase. The hotel billed them for the broken vase. But the team had hid evidence of what they did. No one in the entourage noticed it was missing. This was when Isobel realized there had to be cameras inside of the room. She checked with her father who was general counsel for the hotel. She got the footage and they determined that Eduardo lied. He had gone to the gym with his brother but then his brother left early.
He left early. He returned late and with blood on him. Andres was their serial killer. He was abused growing up and his father murdered his mother. He also seems to have snapped after his girlfriend dumped him because that’s when he started hurting women. But Eduardo knew this. He tried covering up for his brother and he paced in front of Molly’s place because he was concerned for her. The FBI went looking for Andres. They couldn’t find him. He ditched his friends. He went after Molly and he killed her. And he used his strength to evade capture.
The FBI later caught up to him and that time they were forced to kill him before he could kill anyone else.
