General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) will get a shocking job offer at The Invader. Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) will have a plan to save this ex-con’s future, but Alexis will have to wonder if she’s cut out for the gig.
GH fans know Alexis has been trying to find her footing again, but that’s been no easy task!
Alexis may be out of prison, but she still feels trapped in some ways. She’s accepted that she’s no longer a lawyer, but she’s not sure what path to head down now.
Alexis thought she’d found something worthwhile when Professor Khan (Alison Martin) suggested joining PCU’s staff.
It was sad to see Alexis light up at the thought of teaching – only for her dreams to come crashing down at the mention of a background check.
Alexis is facing the harsh reality that comes for many former inmates since her crimes are going to haunt her forever. She’ll be pretty down on herself in the coming episodes as a result, but Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) won’t want Alexis to give up.
Harmony knows Alexis has a brilliant mind that’s just too good to waste.
Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will step up to give Alexis some support soon as well. Since Alexis has been there for Valentin in the past, he’ll want to be there for her now.
However, it’s Shawn who’ll offer a genuine solution to Alexis’ problems.
Shawn will want to repay Alexis for all the assistance she gave him when they were behind bars together. Not to mention Shawn would just enjoy having a friend like Alexis on his team!
That’s why Shawn will stun Alexis with a job offer during the week of January 3-7. Shawn will think he’s found the perfect fit for Alexis.
Shawn will suggest it’s a way for Alexis to use her legal knowledge and her heart for helping others, so Alexis will be eager to hear his exciting pitch.
Now that Shawn is the new owner of The Invader, he could use someone like Alexis to cover big stories – particularly ones about the many injustices of the world.
Shawn will present the opportunity for Alexis to do some reporting, make a real difference and find her purpose again.
Alexis will battle self-doubt once Shawn makes this offer, but she really needs to get out of her own way and accept a fresh start.
There’d be no better way to kick off 2022, so we’ll see what Alexis decides.
