General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Alex Marick (Finola Hughes) may carry out a murder attempt on Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). Will Alex pose as Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) for a twisted trap?
GH fans know Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) made sure Valentin was on a private jet headed out of town, so Valentin is now far away and unable to help Anna.
Of course, Anna is indeed in some trouble since Victor has framed her for shooting Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring).
The woman on the pier certainly looked like Anna, but we know it couldn’t have been her.
Anna was on Pier 47 when she heard the gunshots ring out on Pier 55, so this isn’t a case of mind control or anything like that.
We’re dealing with two Annas – or more accurately, an Anna and an Alex! Since Alex was obviously the real shooter, we have to wonder where she is now.
Considering Alex’s complicated history with Valentin, there’s a good chance she’ll target him next.
Victor hinted about a repeat of the cable car tragedy, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he intends to kill Valentin in a plane crash – though that could be a cover story.
Regardless, Valentin is alone and vulnerable since he has no idea about this Alex confusion. Whether Alex goes rogue or actually has orders to go after Valentin, it seems likely she’ll find him.
Once Valentin’s flight is over, Victor could send guards to ambush him and lock him up.
It’s easy to imagine fake Anna rushing in and acting like she’s come to save Valentin – only to reveal she’s Alex in the end.
Alex loves twisted mind games, so she may not be able to resist playing a few. Maybe Alex will even pretend Anna is the one who’s about to commit Valentin’s murder.
After all, Valentin and Anna had that fireside conversation about how they were willing to kill each other for their children.
That was a strange discussion in the September 26 episode – one that definitely felt like it was building to that type of scenario.
Alex might tearfully pretend Robin Scorpio-Drake (Kimberly McCullough) is in deadly danger.
Perhaps “Anna” will point a gun at Valentin and insist she’s so sorry, but this is the only way Victor will spare Robin’s life.
However, Alex likes to take credit whenever possible, so she’d surely want to pull a “gotcha” sooner or later.
Valentin may get duped by Alex before she plans to take him out.
Fortunately, a surprising rescue mission will soon be underway for Valentin. As other GH news comes in, we’ll pass along updates.
