General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) may dump Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) as danger escalates. Will heartbreak bring confusion and chaos for Maxie in the coming weeks?
GH fans know Austin’s family is caught up in some criminal activity, but he’d rather leave all that behind.
That’s why Austin keeps trying to tell Mason (Nathanyael Grey) that he’s done, but his cousin has repeatedly reminded him that’s not how it works.
Austin can’t just quit since some mysterious and menacing female boss won’t let him.
There’s a chance Olivia Jerome (Tonja Walker) is that mystery boss since her name was mentioned recently. No one would be surprised if Olivia was running a mob operation from Pentonville.
Regardless, the point is Austin is trapped with no way out.
Things will get worse if Austin continues to push back, so he may ultimately decide he can’t take the risk any longer.
Austin won’t want any harm to come to Maxie, so he may dump her for her own good.
Of course, Mason has also been getting inside Austin’s head about all the deals with the devil he made in the past.
Mason just doesn’t buy that Austin has changed all that much because of Maxie’s love.
In Mason’s eyes, Maxie and Austin will never be a good match.
That’s why Austin decided to test that theory and has been pressuring Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) to use his algorithm.
Austin wants to know if his pairing with Maxie is a worthwhile one, but Spinelli already ran the algorithm on the couple.
Since Spinelli learned Maxie and Austin weren’t a good match at all, Austin may pry that shocker out of him eventually.
All of this could add up to Austin’s breakup decision, but the danger may be the biggest factor here.
Austin would rather hurt Maxie with a split than have her or the kids end up in peril.
Since Austin couldn’t live with himself if something happened to Maxie or her family, walking away from the relationship might be the right decision.
General Hospital spoilers say Maxie may face a crushing blow sooner or later, so stay tuned.
