General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) could find Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) in bed together. Will there be a drugged groom on this wedding do-over day?
We should take a closer look at Ryan Chamberlain’s (Jon Lindstrom) recent conversation with Esme and try to nail down where things might go from here.
The March 9 episode brought a rather confusing exchange since it seemingly contained some contradictions.
Ryan was adamant that Ava didn’t really love Nikolas and intended to show her the worm in the apple.
Ryan also made that “like father, like son” comment that suggested he perhaps wanted Esme to seduce Nik – and based on Esme’s smirk, she seemed to get the picture.
Sure enough, Esme cozied up to Nikolas in an almost flirty way on the March 11 episode.
Esme’s already making progress on her mission to become more likable in Nikolas’ eyes, but just how likable does Ryan want her to get?
Is the goal for Esme to land in bed with Nikolas?
Since GH is making such a huge deal out of this vow renewal, something is bound to happen on the big day.
We should also remember that Esme knows her way around a drug plot since she already drugged Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) at the cabin.
Esme certainly isn’t Nikolas’ type – not to mention he’d never want to sleep with his son’s girlfriend.
With that in mind, Esme would surely have to drug Nikolas to stage a scene like this.
It wouldn’t be too farfetched considering Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) drugged Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and pretended they slept together once upon a time.
Since Esme is basically Nelle 2.0, we could imagine her pulling off a similar scheme.
However, Ryan also promised Esme that she’d ultimately have Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez), his fortune and the family she’d always wanted.
Although Esme admitted her relationship with Spencer wasn’t real, she apparently still wants him anyway.
That’s where things get tricky since it’d be hard for Spencer to get past his girlfriend “sleeping with” his father!
Nevertheless, Ryan is unbelievably cocky and extends that same arrogance to his “beautiful, gifted daughter” in some ways.
Maybe Ryan is just confident enough to think Spencer will get over it, especially if Esme puts the blame on Nikolas or even cries rape.
Esme could always act like Nikolas took advantage of her after she had too much to drink or something along those lines.
Regardless, it would be awfully soapy for Ava to go looking for Nikolas on the day of her vow renewal and find her groom in bed with another woman – the woman who tormented her no less!
Esme will grow closer to Nikolas and put herself in a position where it’s a possibility.
Nikolas and Ava love to talk about how no one can come between them, but Esme could stand a good chance if she plays her cards right.
Esme’s number one goal is to make Ryan proud, so she’ll do whatever it takes and probably won’t mind if the Spencer part of all this doesn’t pan out.
It’s clear that Ryan is the one and only person who matters to Esme, so his praise would be worth any sacrifice.
Of course, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) got over Nelle’s first wave of scheming, so it’s possible Spencer can do the same with Esme.
That’s especially true if Esme ends up pregnant down the road and can keep Spencer tied to her.
