General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) may be gearing up for a pregnancy bombshell. Is some Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) “baby daddy” drama brewing?
GH writers have certainly been focusing on the topic of Britt and potential children lately.
Britt doesn’t think kids are in her future since she’s got the Huntington’s disease marker, but a story twist could change the game.
To be honest, we’ve never fully bought Britt’s diagnosis since Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) has inexplicably always known so much about it.
Victor even created a fake medical symposium on inherited diseases designed to lure Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) to St. Lucia.
Somewhere down the line, it might be revealed that Victor manipulated Britt’s test results.
It’d be a great curveball and would make sense considering how Victor used Britt’s Huntington’s disease marker to influence Liesl.
Regardless, a pregnancy could be looming for Britt no matter what.
Whether Britt intends to put a bun in the oven or not, plenty of GH characters have gotten pregnant without meaning to over the years.
That brings us to the clues that the show’s been offering. When Cody had his first date with Britt and mentioned wanting kids, Britt totally flipped out.
Cody later backed off the idea, but Britt still got all worked up.
Then, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) wondered if Britt wanted children and unknowingly poured salt in her wound.
Britt suggested kids weren’t in her future, so Willow didn’t think Britt could understand her situation as someone who didn’t want to be a mom.
Of course, it’s not necessarily that Britt doesn’t want kids. It’s just that Britt doesn’t think it’s wise considering this whole Huntington’s situation.
At one point, Britt even gazed at a picture of herself holding “Ben” aka Rocco Falconeri (Finn Francis Carr) when he was a baby.
It seems like Britt is now longing for a child of her own.
Back in February, Britt acted like kids weren’t going to happen for her, but Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) suggested that you never know.
The show’s been keeping up this theme for a while now, so maybe a baby bomb will eventually drop.
Naturally, Britt has to hook up with Cody first, but they’re well on their way.
We should also mention that although Kelly Thiebaud intends to do both General Hospital and Station 19, she might need a little extra time away from Port Charles.
It’s easy to imagine Britt coming back with a baby bump if that happens.
There have been too many child hints to ignore when it comes to Britt, so we’ll see if a pregnancy is brewing for her after all.
