General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) could be gearing up for their first date. Will Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) be forced to watch his ex-wife move on?
Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) recently talked to Carly about how she was able to let go of Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).
Now Sam’s hoping Carly can let go of Sonny as well and find a new path forward.
Of course, Drew certainly seems like he’ll be that path forward for Carly. There’s been way too much bonding and flirting going on to ignore.
The writers are setting the stage for a Carly and Drew pairing, so it’s just a matter of time until they decide to pursue this romance.
Carly was previously reluctant, but she should change her mind sooner or later.
Since Carly ended up divorcing Sonny and is truly grieving Jason, she could work through all that and be in a better frame of mind down the road.
Carly still needs to heal her broken heart, but she’ll eventually be in a position to give and receive love again.
Likewise, Drew could find a fresh-start romance with Carly and fully capitalize on the clean slate he’s been given.
Naturally, we have to wonder how Sonny will feel about Carly moving on, especially with Drew.
GH fans know Drew is Jason’s brother, so that could make things particularly complicated.
However, Carly may have some good reasons to grow even closer to Drew soon.
Drew could land in additional danger due to this whole situation with Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) and leave Carly more drawn to him than ever before.
Carly and Drew are working their way toward a romantic relationship, so it’s reasonable to assume a first date will be part of the equation.
It might take a little longer for Drew and Carly to surrender to their feelings, but sparks are flying and could lead them into first date territory when the time is right.
General Hospital spoilers say Sonny may have to cling to his own new romance with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and just accept that Carly’s free to move on!
