General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) may lie to Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) about the DNA results, so she could claim Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) are not a match.
We have every reason to believe Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) was telling the truth about Willow being Nina’s biological daughter.
Drew sought confirmation that Carly would do the right thing if that was the case, so Carly acted like she’d be willing to come clean to Willow.
However, Carly will no doubt mull over all the awful things Harmony said about Nina smothering Willow with her love and pushing Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) away.
It could leave Carly increasingly fearful about what might happen if the bio mom drops.
Drew is an honest guy, so it’s tough to believe he’d be willing to keep the truth under wraps here.
GH writers brought Drew into this to make things complicated for Carly and pose a threat to the secret coming out.
Once Carly confirms that Willow is Nina’s biological daughter, she may be desperate to conceal that info from both Nina and Willow.
Since Drew would blab, Carly might think her only choice is to lie and act like this was a false alarm.
If Drew takes Carly at her word, this could make things messy in any romance that develops between them.
Carly will be telling a whopper of a lie to the man she seems poised to fall hard for.
That’s not going to go over well with Drew once the truth is inevitably exposed down the road.
Carly could set herself up to fail romantically with Drew by putting a lie between them from the get-go.
Plus, there’s always the possibility Drew will mention this fake false alarm to Michael or someone else – leading to suspicions and putting the confirmed bio link secret at risk anyway.
In other words, Carly may cover up the truth by lying to Drew and make matters worse if she’s not careful.
General Hospital spoilers say Carly’s deception could lead to her digging a pretty big hole for herself, so stay tuned.
