General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will lose her half of the Metro Court after the merger flops, so Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) win will ruin everything.
It turns out Carly’s calculated financial risk was an even bigger one than she previously let on.
Carly insisted on going against Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) wishes and became a major Aurora backer, which sent the stock price soaring.
That was a good move for Michael and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) since it strengthened their merger chances, but GH spoilers say it’ll ultimately be a bad move for Carly.
The ELQ shareholders meeting won’t go according to plan since Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) will side with Valentin in the end.
Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) will also vote to keep Valentin in power, so he’ll nix the ELQ and Aurora merger immediately.
That’s not something Valentin is interested in at all, so he’ll pump the brakes on everything Drew and Michael have been building toward.
The chain reaction that follows will result in Carly’s substantial loss.
Carly leveraged her half of the Metro Court to raise the capital she needed to invest in Aurora, so she’s going to have a problem.
Since Carly was anticipating Michael and Drew’s victory, she thought she’d have the funds to buy her half back once the merger was voted through.
Valentin’s win will change the game and make it so the merger fails, so Carly’s going to take a major hit financially.
Carly won’t have the funds to get her half of the Metro Court back like she planned.
Michael will no doubt feel bad for Carly, but she’s only got herself to blame since she refused to listen to him.
Carly gambled and lost, so she’ll have to deal with the consequences of her actions.
Drew will do his best to help Carly in the aftermath of her blunder, but that’s going to create another round of complicated issues.
Carly has no idea what she’s gotten herself into, but it’ll be nice to see her taken down a peg – at least for a while!
