General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Cody Bell’s (Josh Kelly) secrets will be exposed, so he’ll give Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) a reason to confess her Huntington’s disease marker eventually.
GH fans know Britt has been down in the dumps – to the point where her latest drunken spectacle prompted an intervention from Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) and Brad Cooper (Parry Shen)!
Britt’s life has definitely gone downhill – and that’s partially due to the loneliness she feels.
Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) has been a tough man to get over since Britt was able to be so vulnerable with him.
Britt isn’t certain she’ll ever find someone else she can feel comfortable opening up to about her Huntington’s and the decline she’ll ultimately face because of it.
That’s where Cody comes in! Cody has some secrets of his own, including whatever he’s hiding with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna).
It seems like there’s some buried crime in Cody and Dante’s history that Dante isn’t keen on telling anyone either.
However, Cody might come clean to Britt about that down the road.
Since Cody is indeed going to be Britt’s new love interest, they’ll be spending more time together and breaking down each other’s walls.
Cody used to be a stunt horseback rider until too many tumbles took him off the saddle for good.
It’s clear that Cody deals with chronic pain – and he admitted he’d probably have to give up skydiving soon as well.
Cody downplayed his issues when he was talking to Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), so he may be underselling just how badly he hurt himself.
There’s a good chance that Cody’s problems are only going to get worse – or maybe there’s some medical reason beyond the botched stunts that took him away from the work he loved.
Regardless, all of this could be used to connect Cody and Britt when the time is right.
No one is a Jason replacement, but Cody can carve out his own spot in Britt’s heart.
In doing that, Cody can also make sure Britt’s vulnerable enough to spill the Huntington’s disease marker news along with all the dread it’s brought her.
Britt needs a solution for her loneliness along with someone she can be close to, so Cody may be her perfect match!
