Something about Dex seems a little too good to be true. Dex was laying it on awfully thick with Sonny when they interacted at the boxing gym on the May 5 episode.
GH fans know nothing about what this guy’s really like, so why should we trust him? There are some good reasons to be suspicious under the circumstances.
One minute Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) was expressing concerns about Sonny being vulnerable – and the next Sonny was reconsidering the idea of hiring Dex.
Perhaps that was no coincidence! It could be a huge hint that Dex isn’t the nice guy he seems to be on the surface.
Dex went out of his way to look humble, eager and able to handle himself in a tense situation. What if Dex was just playing Sonny like a fiddle?
It’s interesting that Dex’s debut is so tied to Sonny and his desire for a job. That makes it seem like Dex was brought on the show for a specific purpose – one that’s tied to Sonny’s organization.
Of course, Dex could still have some family ties on canvas and become part of other stories later, but he’s all about finding work with Sonny right now.
That could mean bad news since the show’s highlighting how weak Sonny’s organization is and how he’s not quite the mob boss he used to be.
After all, GH already has Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) if they need a heroic type of Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) fill-in. Why go to the trouble of casting Dex and throwing him in Sonny’s orbit?
Maybe it’s because Dex won’t ultimately be helpful at all. Instead, Dex could be working for the enemy since there’s been talk about a threat on the West Coast that’s eventually going to expand and strike.
What if Dex has been sent to get the lay of the land and infiltrate Sonny’s organization – just to see all its weak spots and figure out the best path to a takedown?
We won’t be surprised if Dex turns out to be working for this mysterious enemy since he just seems far too eager to please! As other updates come in, we’ll keep you posted.
