General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) mind control may be reactivated, so that could force him to follow Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) orders as Cassadine chaos begins.
GH fans know Laura Collins (Genie Francis) has developed some serious suspicions based on the timing of Victor resurfacing and all the drama that’s happened since.
Laura feels confident that Victor’s return is linked to Luke Spencer’s (Anthony Geary) death and the counterfeit Ice Princess, so she’s on the right track.
Victor indeed had Luke neutralized and no doubt stole the real Ice Princess as well.
It’s clear that Victor has been putting the pieces in place for his new plan, which seems to involve a weather machine based on upcoming GH spoilers.
A heatwave will catch Port Charles off guard in the middle of February, so this has Victor written all over it.
Of course, we have to wonder how Drew will fit into Victor’s scheme.
Victor was awfully determined to score Drew’s activation key and anything else he needed to know from Peter August (Wes Ramsey).
Peter supposedly told Victor everything, but it happened offscreen. It’s possible Peter lied since he’s obviously a character who can’t be trusted.
Peter might’ve wanted to hang onto that leverage just in case, so that’s important to keep in mind.
On the other hand, Peter thrives on sinister plots and must’ve liked the idea of Victor wreaking more havoc on Drew’s life.
Maybe that was a good enough reason for Peter to tell the truth and give Victor the power to mess with Drew all over again.
Regardless, Drew hasn’t been deprogrammed, so his conditioning could remain a problem now that Victor potentially has the activation key.
All Victor has to do is get his hands on the right tarot card and use the “You’re active” phrase to trigger Drew.
Will Drew inadvertently become a crucial player in Victor’s next scheme?
Victor may force Drew to do his bidding and put plenty of people in jeopardy in the process.
