General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) could fake a miscarriage for sympathy and cause Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) to get the blame. Josslyn’s dialogue offered some intriguing clues in the March 25 episode, so let’s consider where this storyline might be headed.
First, we should mention that Esme clearly didn’t want to take that pregnancy test in front of Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez).
Esme also smirked after storming out, so all signs point to her faking this pregnancy to string Spencer along.
During the week of April 4-8, Esme and Spencer will process some new information.
It sounds like Esme might manipulate the pregnancy test situation so it looks like she’s indeed carrying Spencer’s child.
It could be as simple as finding a pregnant girl at PCU and cutting a deal for her to take the test.
Esme could then show Spencer the results – and voila! She’s “pregnant.”
Of course, it hasn’t been that long since Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) faked an entire pregnancy and baby birth, so the show probably doesn’t want to repeat that storyline so soon.
Instead, Esme may have to stage an accident in the not-too-distant future. That brings us to some of Josslyn’s recent comments.
Josslyn talked about knowing Esme was “psycho Nelle 2.0” from the get-go.
Josslyn also clarified to Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) that Esme really wanted to target them – meaning Joss and Trina, not Joss and Cameron Webber (William Lipton).
Josslyn argued that Esme viewed them both as threats for different reasons.
Now that Esme has set Trina up to get arrested, she probably wouldn’t mind sending Joss behind bars, too.
Esme already used the bruise Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) gave her and blamed Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) for it.
When Esme showed Spencer, she tried to act like Carly and Josslyn were both monsters.
The show could be setting up a “like mother, like daughter” theme here – especially with that “Nelle 2.0” clue.
GH fans will recall how Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) once took a tumble down the stairs and blamed Carly for putting her baby’s life in jeopardy.
Nelle’s baby ended up being fine, but the difference is Nelle was actually pregnant.
Esme needs some drama like this so she can a) pretend to lose the baby and b) blame someone for it.
Perhaps Josslyn will be targeted again since Esme wants to paint her as someone violent like Carly.
Will Esme stage a staircase fall and accuse Josslyn of pushing her?
Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) was outraged over Carly’s assault and may be just as livid if he thinks Joss has cost the family a Cassadine heir.
Whatever the case, Esme could fake a miscarriage down the road and point the finger at Josslyn.
